this is what is going on i found a new m1000 i like the fact that its new and will have a warrenty. but a couple of people i ride with are telling king cat it is driving me crazy please help me choose. how diff are they is the m1000 that much better all we do is back country ride. i found a 2004 king cat for $4000 and a brand new 08 m1000 for $9000 please help

The M1000 will work the kingcat once you learn to ride the new chassis. It will take a ride or two but the new chassis is much better off the trail. You can find a new 08 M1000 for a lot cheaper than $9K. mmsports on here had a new 162 in his sig line for $7400 last season.

and you can get a lot of KK for 3-4K and even seen a tm7 for 5500.

Dealer here has 08 162 SPs for $8K and also 09 153 standards for $8900.

I would not even consider the KK unless you are on a budget.

Have a 900 1m and a M1000.

The 900 didn't even get ridden last year. Love the new Chassis.

thanks for the help what do you guys think of the 2010 m8 162. i have heard of horsepower readings of over 160 if thats true it lighter and it only has 5 les hores power let me know thx

ok that settels it im going with the 08 m1000 i know that the 09 is better buy i really can now affort the high price give me a brake im just wanting an up grade i am currently riding a 1998 powder special 600 so i will not see the diff. where are you guys finding those 8k dollar prices. i live up in missoula mt and i called the only two shops for prices and 8900 was the lowest.

Right brotha good choice. I started out on the same 98 powder special, off to a 06 m7 and then the 09 m1. If you find 1 start off with side vents, aftermarket secondary kit, and an aftermarket intake. Get the 09 m1000 update for the ecu also. Good luck.
