Need some new sockets

snapons the only way to go id say

yep..matco, and the others are ok tools..but they wont perform like snap on will..mac has some great tools as well..but hard to beat the best..look at snap on tools this way..they are an investment for your family..they will out last you and your kids..and will be a great heirloom for your childrens children...

Hubby is a high hp diesel tech for cummins, he likes the craftsman's sockets. Some things are worth buying from mac and snap-on like ratchets, etc. But his experience is that sockets are not one of those items.

Half the price, same quality and warranty, got to love craftsman!

It all depends on the use.

If I drop a tool and it falls a couple floors, I can forget about a $5 tool,
if it's $50 tool then I waste $50 of time looking for it.

For certain tasks though, I appreciate high quality.
I guess I have alot of both.

I'm just opposite, I like my Snap-on sockets and a Craftsman ratchet if I'm working with oily hands in a hard to reach area.

But, my Snap-on stuff does not leave the shop, just the Craftsman stuff goes on the road.

If money was no option, I would have gone with a full set of Snap-On.
But for my home garage, that was just not in the budget.

Craftsman won the day.

Thanks Everyone for the input.

I ended up buying a craftsman set. Like Chris said if I had the money all my tools would be snap-on BUT I don't have the money. My bigest thing is that it had to have a lifetime warrenty.
