Need some input on turbos and bb

currently have 09 m8 with bd pg kit but need more power. I thinking about up grading to rg kit and maybe making it a D&D BB:D:D:D So the big ? how should i make it a rg kit? intercooler or not ? what injecters? also how easy is tuning a BB and what makes are out there.

easyiest way to make it a race gas kit is to put the injectors in the throttle boddies and add a boost controller if you have any questions call this # 801 668 6344 shain

i have boost control and i run it around 7psi and 98 octane. but what iam really interested in is the bb with turbo.

Like i said if you call Shain and have him hook you up , you will wonder why you wanted a big bore . I am going to a big bore next year ,my race gas 8 is going to be my back up sled .

But a TM1000 is alot bigger than a punched out 8. 7 lbs feels like a stock sled after you try 12 lbs. Just ride it at 12 one time , you could always spend more money later .:beer;

If you are set on more than a M8 Race gas turbo will give you, trade for an M1000 and turbo it. The failure rate with big bore kits is already high enough without putting a turbo on in.

I also agree that if you ran a M8 at 12 or 14 lbs, you might think differently. 250HP is a lot on an M8 at 9000 ft.

the m9 bb are working well I know there are a few out there kmod ran one all season and pushed it real far 17 to 18#s pm him or maybe he will chime in I ran 1200 bb all year had very few issues none related to boost or fuel oring leak due to warped cyc top. after that no problems. I want to do a m9 for next season.

The TM9 should be the answer for the people torn between the nimble M8 and the brute power of the M1000. Cant wait to try one out.

like you guys said, when you go from 8psi to 12psi you totally forget about everything else i swear it feels like you doubled the power lol. i love mine at 12psi, will go anywhere i need to and i run with pg turbos all the time.:beer;

So who is building a 900 kit for the 8 , and what do they cost. If it could be done with stock Cat pistons and factory jugs i might be interested . A few grand for 100cc's would be to much.

The 1200 kit at least gets 200cc's it sounds like it would be worth more . The cost of the kits is what will get me , i am really poor now days . I am thinking about an old M1000 on boost .

I used Speed werks 925 pistons and turbo cut head 10.5-1, the bottom end was a 1600 mile stock nothing done. The engine was very reliable and was the first turbo sled I have ever built that I didn't at least burn down once, ran all season on the same pistons and it was mostly at 15lbs that is what it liked with the 3071 turbo and 112 Sunoco fuel.
With two gallon of 114 VP mixed in I sneaked up to 18 on one trip and it was a blast but ended up blowing out a throttle body boot out, so the next ride with Shan it didn't run well at all. After that was fixed I ran it all day in Wy at 15lbs
If you set up the big bore with the right clearances and warm them up properly they are very reliable, with allot more bottom end and big end pull.

the 903 BB from D&D was workin really well on the boosted 800 at the end of last year!!!

Call boondockers or D&D.
