Need some help with a dog i cant train

Yes, you do need to be the pack leader. But so does everyone in your family. If everyone doesn't discipline exactly the same, the dog will only obey you. It can even start "protecting" you from the rest of the family, becoming aggressive towards them. It's the same philosophy that Cesar Milan teaches, he says he teaches dog psychology rather than dog training. :)

Shock collar is a great place to start.

Dogs need firm handling so you need to beat the chit out the dog a couple of times to establish right from wrong and who's the boss. Rolled up newspaper, phone book, old SnoWest magazines work great.

Thanks, Michael Vick.

Put a Diaper on its @$$. No kidding. We did this with our small dog & it worked. Im not sure if from humiliation or what but she never went in the diaper after the first time & always asked out after that. Funnier than s**t but it worked. Cut out a hole for its tail & everything. She still walks away from me when I call her, probably still mad.:D:D

You say you put the dog in the yard but it is tied up.To me sounds like you need to take the dog for a walk twice a day for a while.I bet it will take 10 leaks on your walks and you wont have that problem anymore.

Naturally, a dog won't go #1 or 2 in it's kennel unless:

a) It absolutely has to go and you're not there to take the dog out

b) The kennel is too large. He/she can take a dump and get far enough away from it.

It sounds like your dog needs to get outside more. I have a white shephard/husky cross. She is an absolutely perfect dog as long as I'm doing my job as her master. When I get too busy to take her out or spend time with her, she'll act up.
I am a firm believer in a dog's pack instinct as being it's most important trait and the root of all training. The dog has to be made aware of things as they relate to both the dog's and your place in the pack. My dog will only go up against me if I'm disciplining my kids. In order to even raise my voice at my son, the dog has to be led away. She has her idea that she is one of the dominant females and even an alpha male needs to be watched when dealing with the pups (my kids). She will also have a bit of a time challenging my wife. I'm the big dog and she'll listen to my on every command guaranteed. SHe picks and chooses when to listen to my wife (get's it from me) and will absolutely not take a command from the kids. She'll protect them to the death (the reason we have her) but she won't listen to anything but sit. If I tell that dog to stand on her head, she will without hesitation.

It drives the wife mad.

Never had to beat anything into my dog. You just need to understand the reason why the dog displays the behaviour. You do really need to be firm and be the dog's master. THe dog counts on you for shelter, food and protection. You need to be able to count on it for something. It may be watching your property or guarding your "flock". A dog breed that normally has a job (herder, hunter, retreiver) need to do that job or they're not happy. A working dog without a job is mierable and will act up.
