Need riding suggestion for Walla Walla area

Taking my kids to the area to pick up a camper and thought that I would try it out and drag the sleds along too. Not familiar with the area at all. Will be riding with smaller kids with phaser's. Would like to find a few open areas but nothing too difficult for them. A nice snowpark to try out the camper too.
Thanks for any suggestions and directions.

You have two choices from Walla Walla. One is to go to Dayton and up toward the Bluewood ski area which would be almost 50 miles (30 to Dayton and 20 to the SnoPark) or to Tollgate, OR which is about 40 miles. You have to go through Milton-Freewater, OR and head up Highway 204 and it is almost 19 miles to the top where the store is. There are a few SnoParks that begin after the store that are marked along the highway. The local dealers and the store or the Tamarack Inn should have trail maps to view their area.

Basic Tollgate map: http://www.oregonsnow.org/map_23.aspx The real maps are much nicer.

The Touchet Corral map (SnoPark below Bluewood) http://www.parks.wa.gov/winter/trails/mapdownloads/motorized/Touchet%20Corral.pdf

Tollgate would have more open riding for kids but the Dayton area would be much quieter than all the sleds at Tollgate. There is reciprocity this year between Oregon and Washington so the SnoPark permits and snowmobile registrations will work in both states.
