need polaris clutch tools

my primary just jammed up yesterday long over due for a clutch rebuild, thought i'd ask if anyone knows anyone in my area with the tools to do a rebuild i really dont want to take it to the local dealer if i dont have to, im in kaslo, bc

also does anyone know if my clutch puller from a 1996 597cc XLT is the same as for 01 rmk 800?

i have a 99 700 and i used a grade 8 bolt with the right thread and a piece of solid round scrap cut to the right length to fill thespace so that a regular bolt will push it off it worked for me . i think i used 3/8 round and i think i ground it to a taper like a factory puller and i cant remember the bolt size off hand if you need i can measure the pieces later

talked to the local dealer they said could be as much as 400 for the primary (250 parts 150 labor) and 200 for the secondary, just for a rebuild anyone have tools? im gonna order some pretty quick here if not

clutch tools

SLP makes a great tool for popping the buttons out. Good investment. After you pull them you can drive the roller pins out with a flat nose punch. If you change the bushing in the moveable sheave, you can probably get a socket to fit as a driver. That bushing and steel retainer fit pretty tight, we built special driver for it. Check and see if the cover bushing is the Garmax style (plastic). It should be. It is held in with a snap ring and lock tite. You will probaly need to rip it apart to get it out and again use a socket as a driver to push the new one in.

so is there any thing else that i need to replace to rebuild the clutch? or will the kit i listed be all i need? and what tools do i need other than what i listed? i've never done the job before, but 250 for parts from the dealer when its 30 online just seems ridiculous, or is there something my kit is missing?
