Need pistons for a 670 - where to get them, which ones to get?

Hey guys. My brother blew up his 99 summit 670. We pulled her apart and the PTO side piston lost a skirt. Luckily, everything else looks good. Just wondering what pistons you guys would recommend putting in. Should a guy just go OEM? Or are aftermarket ones going to be as reliable? Also, any idea where to get a good deal on this stuff. I need pistons (with all the extras, pins, bearings, etc) and gaskets for the entire motor.

Unfortunately, I've been through this a couple of times in the past 2 seasons with my 670. Pistons from Ski Doo are pretty spendy nowadays, I think in the $130 apiece range if I remember right. The guy I got my parts from ordered mine from WPS both times. They ran about $85 for kit that had the .50mm over piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. You would have to find a dealer to order them from WPS for you though.

Or you could order them from Dennis Kirk, looks like the kit runs about $55.

You should be able to find the bearings and gaskets and stuff on there too I would imagine.

I would use the factory Doo piston---They are now coated. They are double what they were about 5 years ago--But everything is more--especially when they go out of production.

This will take you right to the microfiche and pricing--You can order them on line and they ship right to you. They are quicker than having any of the 5 dealers closer to me order the parts.

PS--Make sure you get the case cleaned out real well.

Thanks guys. What do you think of Wisecos? You are fairly inexpensive arent they??
