Need 'new to me' sled! Suggestions!?

Hey guys,

I have sold my 2006 Switchback 600, and am looking to get into something a little more deep snow specific with a bit more jam track length around a 155. I want to stay with an IQ, and spend less than 7K on a new one. Here is what I am leaning toward and found on Kijiji so far.

- 2010 RMK 600 155 - $7000 - 350 miles - Piped, can, headlight delete, clutched, underseat bag etc.
- 2009 Assault 800 146 - $6800 - 1147 KM - new recalled motor, can, gas rack, etc.
- 2010 Polaris RMK 600 155 - $7500 - 900 miles - can, scratchers, stock mainly.
- 2009 Polaris Dragon 800 155 - $6500 - 2740 km, 450 kmon the new fix kit. Intake kit, storage bags.

All of these sleds appear quite clean and in good shape. Now, entering the dark side...

- 2008 Rev XP 800 154 - $7400 - 1600 km. Can, spare plastics (is completely black from yellow).

(I've rode a 12 800 ETEC and thought it was a nice chassis and the thing hauled!)

Ahhh!! I am really digging the 2010 RMK 600 for 7K. Its quite trick and looks new..

I am famously indecisive....so I am looking for some input!

thoughts, comments! Concerns!! Things to watch out for??? I am aware of the issues with the 800 motor in the Dragon and the 'fix kit'.

what are your riding styles? deep powder, trails, little bit of both, jumping.... if your gonna do all around do the assult, if your gonna do mostly back country in the steep and deep eather the 800 dragon or the ski doo etec

I would say it's trail 30%, and the rest of the time I would rather be in deep snow somewhere, be it carving up a lake, finding some bowls, darting up some sub-insane hills. Generally, I would rather be in powder with the throttle pinned! That's where my Switchback was sortof lacking. I took it to the mountains twice last year and was really wishing I had the deep lug and better low end power.

I didn't want to tinker around with the Switch, and drop $1000-1500 getting it where I wanted.

Don't where you are located but the prices seem on the high side.

Just bought a 2010 RMK 155 with a carbed 2007 SLP 727 engine for $4 grand and needs less than a grand to make it perfect IMHO. Engine on rebuild less than 1000 miles , track chassis under 600 miles

Look at a sled with upgrades caue the upgrades do not add much resale on the sled. Most "seasoned" sled sellers take all the aftermarket stuff off sell the parts separate then sell the sled bone stock with the new owner not knowing it was tricked out

I have the 2010 Assault and I love it.
The length is perfect and if you don`t ride all year around in perfect pow snow, the Assault is a perfect option.
It also has better shocks.

I wouldn`t change my Assault for a RMK at all!

Seems like kinda high prices from around the midwest here. Just bought a 2010 Dragon RMK 155 800 with a brand new motor (recall), and a tunnel wrap. and it was mint as mint can get for $6,000. I'd be doing a little more shopping.
