Need info on importing a sled from Canada to the U.S.

I would like to buy a Polaris in Canada and bring it into the U.S. Can any one give me some hints on what's required ?

looks like he's from the u.s. and buying a sled from Canada to import back down to the states. when I've sold sleds in the past to peeps in Montana I believe all they had to do was stop at the U.S. side and declare the sled (if you had to pay gst, you can stop at the Canadian side and get some paperwork to get your gst back) I don't think it's near the process as it is to bring a sled from the u.s. up to Canada.

Call the customs that you are going to be going through, and get all the info from them. it depends on the day and who you talk to what the process can be. make sure to record the date and time and officer you talked to so when you bring the sled back through, you have some reference points in case one of the officers is being testy.
