I have a 2009 Assault 800 and I am new to using the PCV.
I wanted to calibrate the tps using the PCV and I can't get a sensor voltage reading or throttle % reading. I tried with the engine running and also hooked up to a 12v battery.
The Power Commander software on my computer is the version 1.0.3.3 and the firmware is the 0.1.4.0 version.
I hook my cumputer to the PCV
-power the PCV with the 12v battery
-click on the Power Commander Tools header
-then calibrate TPS.
With the throttle at idle there is no sensor voltage. I hit the reset button and the go wot and still no voltage reading.
I checked the connection at the TPS and that is good, tried another TPS and still nothing.
I was out riding the other day and the check engine light was on for almost the whole ride. It was flashing 5 times. I found that this is a flash code for the exhuast sensor. I checked the connections for the sensor and unplugged it, then plugged it back together and the light was still coming on. I pulled a sensor from another sled and installed it in my machine and the light went out. I then installed the original sensor and the light is out now.
