need help with stop torque

When I was changing the weights, I notice the stop torque with rubber is about 1/16 inch apart between motor and stop torque... Should I move the rubber to touch the motor or leave it that way?

The spec for the gen II chassis was .100" plus or minus .010". I'd say your good with 1/16"
