I recently discover that a metal sleeve, w/ hose attached, keeps sliding out of the port its supposed to be in. It is located on the heads of the engine I believe??? Can anyone tell me what the part name is, what it is needed for, and if I need to replace it, where I can find the part? I am attaching a picture to better describe what part I am talking about. Thanks!

* This isnt the actual engine, I found and used this pic to better describe what I was talking about. Hope the owner of the pic doesnt mind.

thats like a vent, drain for your powervalves, not sure off the top of my head what or how its held in there, but not completly sure that its necessary except to keep dirt and grime out of your power valves

It drains oil from the powervalves. If you've got the stock valves, you want the hose there to keep from getting that gunk all over your engine compartment. If, like in that picture, you've got gas powered exhaust valves, you want that hole plugged.

It's just a barbed fitting pressed into the hole.

is it a special fitting tht i need to replace this one or can i try and open up the fitting a little and force it in there so it fits snug? i did notice some oil tht has leaked out of the hole. thanks for the input so far.

I have tapped a tapered punch into the fitting to enlarge it just a bit and then tap it back into the hole.
