NEED HELP to get my turbo m8 running!

You say there are no changes in fuelpressure when at boost. I thougth the fuel pressure was supposed to rise when you are at boost. Is there not a pressure line in at top of the pressure regulator?

Correct, the fuelpressure should rise under boost.. And yes, there is a pressure line connected to the regulator.

If you lost a cylinder, it's not running on boost and the plugs look lean when you should be rich you have a bad box. You can't fix that with an A/F gauge. Don't waste your money. Dale uses EGTs for a good reason, he talked me into going away from my A/F gauge and going with EGT's. Talk to him before you spend more money. It sounds like the diaphragm that boost tube goes to in the box(pressure transducer) is bad. I'm guessing that your box isn't sensing that you are on boost.

This is the reason way I haven't got one yet. But everyone have right to their own opinion. And I'm a newbie so I don't know s*it... just trying to learn as much as I can about this..

About the box: When im on boost, the box is flashing Green/blue lights and sometimes orange.. Or "on boost", the sled is just geting started to boost and then cuting out..
Will call Dale on monday.

If you run 40psi static fuelpressuer (no boost) at 10 psi of boost the fuelpressure should be 50psi..That means you still have 40 psi of diffrential fuelpressure. (50-10= 40). If not you should burn some pistons.

You can also do a check this way on all other stuff that are suposed to get boost, like the map sencor in the attitude box.

You can simulate if the pressure regulator is workin on idle. Put a bicycle pump with a manometer (boostmetar) and turn up the boost on idle to see if the fuel pressure rise acordingly.

I will add mor fuel or lower the boost to a safe level, but thats not the problem right now.. Problem is that the sled is running super hot EGT temp after a few seconds, and I can't get it to run rich.. Ofcourse I will not run it on the edge just to run high boost. Start low and crank it up later in the season.

At 1000-1500', at 10#, you need to be running straight race 110 at least, maybe more? I think that could be why you are running way to hot and can't get your temps down.

Need better fuel. $55/gallon....HOLY CRAP!!!!! Makes $7/g seem way cheap! Good luck!

Have been testing a little more and the fuel system and the box seems to be OK. New problem is, I can't get it to run low boost. No matter what I do It keeps pushing 10-15 psi for a short time, even with my "low boost wastegate" like 0.5 seconds and then it starts to sound like it hits the rev limiter. ?? We are a little confused of what it could be? Probably the sled goes into limp mode...

For a short second I can really feel the insane power the sled makes!! Just need it to run good for more then 1-2 sec...

Thats called boost creep. You might need to port the wastegate or improoove the piping to it.
You can try to attach the boost signal to the middle of the pipe since the pipe have higer backpressure than boost, it will lower the boost. This way it will enritch the engine on long runs whan backpressure rice because the pipe get hotter.

I Finally got the sled to run OK yesterday! Far from perfect but atleast it doesn't sputters all the time! The sputter isn't completly gone but almost!
I did change the Waste gate to the bigger, "high boost WG", set the WG rod very loose and then I turned the boost up on the boost controler. About 10psi.

Whats "boost creep"? When I asked Dale he told me the same thing.
I will try to tie the WG valve fully open today and see what happens.

fuel pressure

Sounds like you are making some progress, I have dale's stage III kit as well and with fuel pressure at 40 psi there was a bog right on the bottom. I lowered the fuel pressure to 38 1/2 psi at idle and it is now flawless on the botton.

good luck. DB
