Need help. Palisades Res. by Alpine WY

My family and I went and stayed at palisades last year and loved it there. We stayed at the campground that is by the boat ramp that is by the Dam. Well the kids want to go back but the campground is full. Where can we stay? I have a 36' 5th wheel toy hauler and a 20' boat. I was told there is some good spots on the east side of the lake if you cross the river on the south end of the lake and then follow the shore to the north?

Any suggestions would help tremendously. Thanks

CALAMITY is just up the road a few miles, only 2 spots open for labor weekend so you better reserve if you want one

and there is free dispersed camping all over around there, there is a old gravel pit just across the river that is open but gets a lot of atv traffic

half way of the reservoir you can enter the flats around the the edge of reservoir, I think its near indain creek, this is all dispersed

never been on the road on back side of reservoir in summer so I dont know what the road is like but yes there is dispersed camping all back in there as well
