Need Help from my fellow riders

Like everyone else said the prices are high but hes giving you good money for your trade, I would get the 153 if you are riding in both areas, you probably won't be climbing the steepest hills just starting out. Maybe look around a bit first. Call Arnie in St.Paul he has some 09 m8 std 153's with 5-8 miles for 6495.00 and these are clean, not sure if he has any left tho, great guy to deal with, his number is 651-261-5669, tell him Terry sent you. Hope it helps.

Where in WY, I know on the big horns it take 2-4ft of pow to keep me from pulling a wheelie the whole way up the hill. To find challenges on my sled I have to get in tight trees on steep sidehills. I make fools out of dragons and xp's. But the farmers almanac is claiming the BEST winter ever is coming. So maybe there will be a challenge coming. Can't wait. If I sold mine, I would just get a new 2010 m1000 and if they don't come out with one in 2012 I'll keep it.

Fixed it for you.

I bought my 2008 m1000 from Arnie last year, has really great deals. I think you'll be happy with either M8 or M1000, think about how long you might keep it (for resale value) and what type of mods you might want to do to it in the future.

Looks like he has same very good prices, BUT I would need to sale my out right. I have it on here and sledswap, but I have not had very many calls on it. Sledswap has done the best. Taking to the dealer is a lot faster, but I do see that Arnie is $2,000 cheaper on the same sled with half the miles on it. Looked at the 09 M8 std 153"

I wanted to send a Thank You to everyone that give me some feedback!!!! I'm still tossed on the lenght of track, but i'm leaning toward the 153. I think the m8 is what i'm going to look at in the std and put a riser box on it. I plan on keeping this sled for awhile, so I may go with a new 2011 m8. That way I get the 800 ho. I will keep you all posted. I will still take any feedback. Again, Thanks Everyone!!!!!!!!

See You in the mountains, and hope I don't show you up! LOL

Steelman:

I live in Colorado and ride the CO Rockies and the Snowies of Wyoming almost exclusively. Riding elevation is 10-12,500 depending on the area.

I'm 6'0" tall, weigh 185 lbs (not in sled clothing) and figure around 210lbs dressed in all my gear.

I ride a mildly modified and "dieted" '07 M1000 153". I don't want to ride anything else. (Not including a turbo'd M1000 ;) ) This thing boondocks like no tomorrow and has been 95% trouble free since day one. I did lose the coils last season.

I'd recommend the M1000 .....153". Best all mountain sled. (Re-gear by the way.....55/65.)

I was recently in this same situation, trying to decide on a 153 or 162. I decided I would wait to see what would fall in my lap. I recently picked up an 07 m8 153. I am hoping it makes me happy, and I am sure it will, I think that on really deep days the 162 would be appealling, but everytime I have went the snow was average at best and the 153's were fine. I havent rode this sled except off the trailer and in the gargage so we will see. Since most of my crew ride 153's or less, I should be good. Maybe that should help your decision, what do your bud's ride? If they are all on 153's you should be good, if they all ride 163's you may be dissapointed, at least on the deep days. I dont know, just speculating here, good luck!
