Need help carberation 97 500 summit

Can anyone help me have a 97 summit 500 that the hac went out want to jet it and remove the Hac We are riding the Big Horn in WY any help Thanks size of nozzles and jets with needle settings

you have1 choices to start with a formula 500
the 500 takes a 50 pilot, and 310 pto and a 290 mag
the summit takes a 75 pilot, 400 pto and a 380 mag
these are factory specs and are usually real safe so I would even go down one size smaller with the mains on both sides and leave the pilots and use the middle clip position on the needles, what elevation are you riding??? that will mean alot

Viton needles will also help the flooding problem associated with rotary valve motors.
I think we used to run 370's across with stock pilots when it was stock.

Shaved head, ported, bored carbs, and aaen pipe coupled with a Cat secondary and it was a mean mean sled for the 600's to try and beat.

Reebs, Hes asking to get rid of the hac on a 500 not a summit 670 370 mains i n a 500?????

You're right, he was asking w/o the HAC. I failed to comprehend that. I ran 370's w the HAC. Without I think we dropped 10 sizes right off the bat.(Maybe 12?) But from there my finding will be skewed 'cause of the "minor mods" done to it.

Id start with a 50 pilot same needle, one notch up from center on the clip, 300 main on pto side , 280,mag side , try and call a dealer in the area they might be able to give you a better idea , Id also take a 290 and a 270 main along just in case your still running rich, easy change on the trail, also you might have to change your clicker on the primary to get some more rpms
