lost a wheel off the trailer and am now stuck in livingston...anyone know someone that can help the earliest to get us back on the road to cooke. we are staying at the comfort in and the trailer is a triton enclosed...need both bearings rotor and hub....please call me if you can help 651-485-8414

Just wanted to write a thanks to a couple of fellow snowesters who called offering some help...What a weekend that was and the pocketbook is a little lighter now.
So here is the story:
Pulled into the gas station in Livingston on Thursday evening and we knew one of the bearings was getting a little warm from the last gas stop. Checked it in Livingston and it was getting REAL hot. Decided we were going to pull into the grocery store lot and jack up the tire and take a look. Well started to make the turn and the entire wheel (rotor and hub included) fell off!! Answered our question on how bad the bearing was. Called around all night and ended up finding nothing until Friday morning. Having the dual axle trailer we limped our way to Bozeman on three wheels and ended up at Midwest Engineering and Welding who said they could fix it all. Needed entire new side including spindle hub rotor and brake. 4 hours later and $650 we were back on the road heading to Cooke. Was not real happy with the bill but we were back on the road. Never got an estimate from them but if I had it proably would have been cheaper just to buy an entire axle and do a swap in a parking lot. But what can you do we wanted to ride and already lost a day of riding on Friday.
Got into Cooke Friday night and got up early to ride saturday morning. PLanned on making it a two tank day since we already lost one day. Made it 5 miles down the trail and the wifes crank went out on her REV. Well there goes another $1000 to get that fixed when we get back. Pulled it back to town and used a buddy's sled who stores it out there. (thank God for that). Finally get back out riding and find some deep untouched snow saturday and sunday.
Then the snow comes in. Planned to ride monday morning before we had to get going to get friends back to minnesota by Tuesday morning. Decided instead of leaving Sunday night we would get up early and leave monday morning. Finally hit the road at 8:30 monday morning after getting stuck a couple of times. Made it down the road out of Cooke breaking trail and got into Mammoth and find the road is closed. Sat for 1.5 hours waiting for the roads to be plowed. Had the park ranger leading us out of the park and then had to wait another 30 minutes about 10 more miles down the road after a plow went into the ditch. So 4.5 hours later finally make it into Gardiner and start the rest of the treck. Made it back to Minnesota around 7 AM this morning with a bad crank and light pocketbook.
Still would rather have a rough trip out west then a weekend of riding the Minnesota flatlands.
