Are you running at elevations or flatlands?

Honestly your best bet is to take those pipes and throw them in the garbage. They aren't worth the scrap metal money you'd get for them. That and they are loud as hell like hear them from 20 miles away loud. I tried a set on on my 98 XC it was slower and made less power plus it was crazy lean on the top end and would lean out BAD at WOT. I had to drill out the jets in order for them to be big enough to supply enough fuel to the sled . Single pipe works WAY better on these sleds.

I had a set on my 98 and they worked fine. They were new so ok for loudness. I'm guessing that the muffler part will eventually burn out and then get a lot louder. Eventually I did go to a single pipe, but that was my preference.
Anyways, here are 3 info sheets from PSI to help set up your machine.
Good luck.
