Need help 05 900

I went out today for the first time and sled ran great except when we where about back to the trailer . Sled started to cut out and seem like it was backfiring . Rode it for about 3 hrs with no problems tell we where almost back to trailer . Its a 05 900 with slp motor , slp pipe and can , vforce reeds lots of venting , slp air box . No check engine lights or anything . Need help dont want to take it to the dealer if i dont have to . When you first start it it does come up and say service then it goes out is that normal . Anyone have any thoughts on this problem i am having. Also when we got home started back up and was running great with no problems

your plugs ok, I assume? You might have 1 going bad or a plug wire failing that might explain backfiring. Did it have power just backfired?

No it does seem to lose power when it happens . But only happens after its been ridden for atleast 3 hrs then after it sits forawhile its fine again .
