NEED BOOTS. HMK BOA vs. KLIM

I have motor fist and klim local but no HMK. I have an oportunity on HMK and Klim for pro deals. Does the HMK fit size wize? 10.5 = 10.5?

Thanks,

You guys are making it hard to choose. How about comparison between the team and voyager?

Also, does HMK offer a warranty like Klim?

I got my Klim adrenalines last year and love them, they are small warm and pretty tough i think. My feet have never got wet in them and i can strap them to my klim togowtee bibs so they never ride up. I would reccommend (sp) them for you

i live in ak. ride turn again pass ,, hated my hmks soo stiff to lace up!!i hurt my hand lacing them up.. love my klims. 3rd year, same pair,no wear..never cold even that day at boulder,20 below, wind froze my face not my feet.10 ft pow no prob..

I have both. The Klims are super warm and waterproof. They lace up easy but I have a hard time getting them tight enough for me. Also, they don't have great fit or support. The HMK Pro Boas leaked a lot for me. Feet were never dry on the deep days. I find the Boa hard to get really tight, like I want them. They just kind of bind up when they get almost tight enough. The Intuition liners are really nice and comfy, and warm even with wet feet. Also, I have a weird hole in one boot right at the toe. Like someone shot my foot with a 22, not sure how a hole like that could get in the boot. Soles are pretty tough, used Air Frames all last year with the traction screws that I thought would destroy them. Still on the search for a really good fitting boot that will tighten up and give me the kind of ankle support I want.

Well I just went and tried on some Klim 11's and normally wear a 10.5. They were way to narrow in the from of my foot. So that leaves me with trying the HMK's and the Motor fist. I like the motorfist look and size so I will have to give those a shot. Are they warm enough? I have heard of them compared to a danner type boot.

I got a pair of the HMK team boa focus boots last year, and they are perfect. No complaints at all, and they get good and tight.

I've never worn anything but the Klim Adrenalins. Starting season 4 with them and see no reason to change up. I love them.

Another vote for Klim, love mine!! But on the other hand, I wouldn't mind trying a pair of HMK's either. So there, I really didn't help much, ha ha.

Honestly, I think either way, you will be happy.

Are there any changes to the Stomper for 2013? The only thing I didn't like about them last year was they are a bit shorter on the leg than everything else.

Klim Adrenalines for five years, no problems, no leaks. Tried the HMK Boas they seem to get stuck in the footwells because of the stiffness and forward lean to them caused a few "oh sheetz" :fear: moments where I was unable to bail. Back to a new set of Klims, no leaky and feel great. :face-icon-small-hap

I went with the Motorfist boots this year after riding with Burton snowboard boots for the last 5 years. I have been putting them on every chance I get to try and get used to them. I'm not sure yet though, I'm a really aggresive rider and I'm kind of concerned that they are not going to be stiff enough for me. Who has switched from a stiff boot like an HMK or forward snowboard boot to the stompers or the Klim? How was the transition?

If I were to pick the HMK's. What model? the voyagers look a bit smaller than the teams but the teams must off more performance other than the liner. If money was not option which model would be best for backcountry specific riding? I know the pros are wearing the teams based on movies. But....

i've had klim adrenaline boots since 07. great boot, always dry and warm. seems like most like the adrenaline but you never hear of anyone commenting on the other klim boots like the radium and arctic?radium has better ankle support and removable liners, but are they as good? and arctic may be too warm for mountain riding. any thoughts?

Motor fists felt a bit cheap when I tried them on. Cant find HMK's to try on (wish I could). Went back and tried the Adrenalines one more time. Im a 10.5 and the 10 boot looked to fit pretty well. The foot bed feels like its high on the sides and low in the center but maybe that will pack out. Does everyone use the stock inserts?

I think I might be getting these because I options are limited as I cannot try others on.

"I use to always use my snowboard boots, the last few seasons i have used the HMK team lace ups and liked them a lot but i'm going to try the motorfist's this year. Anyone i know that has tried them has said they would never go back to another. I like the idea of them not being so bulky."

You have heard it before that if you go black you'll never go back. It's kind of like a that with a Stomper....except they are more grey then black :)

The Stomper secures your ankle. Other boots look like they have support but you can't really cinch them to the ankle. Or if you can you need to really pour the coals to it to make it happen. Just like when you hike/hunt you wear a welted soled boot (like the Stomper) and are able to really tighen it to your ankle. The more secure it is....the better support there is.

The Stomper seems like it doesn't come up as far on your ankle, but measure where the top of the Stomper hits your ankle once on vs. some other boot. It will surprise you.

Man this is just weird I felt the exact opposite, fit and finish is top notch and they are form fitting after the first ride! I don't even wear warm socks just plain ol cotton ankle socks and I'm good to go!!!! And there soles are replaceable for free with there bluebird warranty! I may sound a lil bias but I don't think I will wear anything but MotorFist from me head to my feet, best gear around period!
