the first couple are all construction related, but many things will cross over such as grinding, safety glasses and such..the last couple are auto shop related....

just some general info on safety meetings(I get at least a 1/2 hour meeting a week..and on some jobs we have to do a 2 day safety meeting just to be on site.. try to make it interesting..dont just read off a sheet of paper..lots of hands on props..pictures showing what can happen when things go wrong.. get the veiwers involved..make some of your props unsafe and see who can spot it...that stuff really helps get your point across.......

another option is to have other people give you topics to talk about, maybe things they see.

Stress the point about working safe for their benefit and for their families.. Like wearing proper eye protection so that they can see their kids grow up, or proper ear protection so they don't get old and can't hear. Make it personal..

A lot of the lack of safety measures in peoples work was due to laziness and thinking they are restrictions of their job coming from "the man".

Just some thoughts from what I have seen.

Not to hard to find safety/toolbox topics online as stated before.

One of the easiest ways I have found to keep guys always thinking safety is if I catch anyone in the shop doing something unsafe as a minimum I have them conduct the next scheduled safety meeting on the topic it was that I seen them doing unsafe. It seems that guys will go to great lengths to keep from having to speak in front of others.

Way obvious, but 1st step to a safe shop is a CLEAN shop.
Housekeeping is always "someone elses job". That attitude pisses me off!

Incentives to be safe.....a catered lunch every month (or whenever) for an incident free shop ???
