Need advice on brands, ordering a gooseneck enclosed.

I have a sundowner on order from sparks trailers. We've bought quite few trailers from him and the pricing and options worked out better for what we wanted. I stopped and looked at one of the horse trailers and the construction looks excellent. I also really like their extruded lower siding. They come with a 8yr structural warranty and 3yr everything but electrical warranty. Ended up ordering it 24+8bunk, 8 wide, 7 tall dual 7k axles. It's coming with aluminum extruded siding half way up, and smooth skin the rest of the way, aluminum floor, wheels, 4 windows, rv door, ac, 110v, LED lights, backup lights, load lights, and lined and insulated ceiling.

I will be building adding, E-track, cabinets, water heater, rv furnace, fridge, sink, camp toilet, some sort of table, and lining the walls. Now the wait begins.

Eric what do you do with the aluminum floor and carbides. I'm thinking probably ski boots is the best option.

If you can go with an all aluminum option you will be much better off.

My featherlite trailer is 2001 and I have owned it since 2004, its exactly the same condition as when I bought it. All i have done is replaced some burned out bulbs and replaced tires. Mine has the aluminum frame and floor, all I do it pressure wash it inside and out. 10-15 yr old featherlites still sell for 8-10,000 because they are built that well. Eric

I use my sled trailer as a camper also. Six yrs ago we glued down some marine carpet. The backing is 1/4" solid rubber with straight strand fibers. The loops will snag and tear, but single strand has yet to show a skag mark. Surface is steerable for skis. I steam clean it out the night before we pack to camp and it dries in a couple of hours. The water never gets to the floor. Best part is bare feet in the camper.

We put screws every four inches on the sled entry to keep floor down and sealed. They countersink enough they rarely get damaged.

My trailer's primary use for 12 years was hauling a dirt track race car so the aluminum floor worked great for the weekly mud and any fluids getting spilled on it.
I have indoor/outdoor carpet I put on the floor in the winter for hauling sleds. It holds up great to carbides, but on my personal sleds I dont run and carbide skags, just smooth steel wear bars. Now that I dont race anymore the carpet stays installed all the time. Eric

H&H High Quality

H&H trailer out of Iowa builds an exceptionally nice trailer. Built to hold up to the conditions we encounter in the midwest. Rhino Lined tongue and rear bulkhead. Fully undercoated and sealed. I am a dealer for them so I am partial but I am happy to get you a quote on what you are looking to get. Delivery available at a very reasonable rate. PM me or give me call 801-505-8295 Mike

I'll support mikemilers testimony. Mine is not a gooseneck but I am very pleased with their trailer.

Mirage has entered the gooseneck market and they are serious about building a high quality trailer built for multipurpose and to last. Mine is a 34' Xtreme Blackout Sport edition. I don't want to hijack the thread, but happy to answer any questions or share any photos. My favorite aspects of this trailer are heavy duty 7000 lb axles with bigger tires, really good heating system, tall ceiling, amount of cabinet space and storage, great led lighting, built in fuel tank with electric pump, tough floor, comfortable fold up couch/bed, fold up work bench, stereo, walk in door on each side, electric jacks, ceiling track for lifting sled, lots of books to hang gear, and most of all how nice it pulls behind my 3/4 ton pickup!

I wouldn't turn that down if it was offered to me.

Pic of the drive-out door? Ski guides from factory?

I ordered the trailer with only the rear door for loading and unloading. All of the sleds that I use have reverse and I honestly can't tell you the last time that I unloaded out of the front of an enclosed trailer. The ski guides are low pro grip glides from Caliber and I installed them myself.

Thats a nice looking trailer coloradomatt. This thread keeps making it harder to wait for my new trailer to show up. I have a big pile of stuff in the shed ready to go in it when it shows up but probably wont have time to work on it tell after harvest. I will post pictures when it shows up.
