Need a referral...

My 2006 Summit X 1000 151 is leaking coolant from the rear. It is at the very back of the heat exchanger, and it is actually bubbling up under the taillight and running back down the top of the tunnel toward the seat/gas tank. Most of the opinions that I have gotten are that the exchanger itself is cracked, and needs to be welded up.

Stopped by the dealer to ask if that was something they could take care of, and they told me it was at least a 4 week wait to even get the sled looked at, and then if the exchanger was cracked that they don't keep a welder on hand and that they would have to bring one in. Can anyone refer me to a good shop or person that might be able to handle this? I'm not concerned about down time for the sled, if that matters.

if you are in anchorage..go to the weld shop between the old seward and new seward highway..go south on old seward toward diamond blvd...turn left onto 68th ave...it is about 2/3's the way down on the left..they do great work and prices are great...

Alaska Weld out in the valley. Kind of drive but the guy does excellent work and only charges $35/hr. with no minum. I've had him weld a lot of stuff for me. 907-841-4323.

That was going to be my recommendation but I see you already took care of it. My next sled will be coming from Team CC in ER.
