Need a clutch kit for an 04 Rev 800

cleaned my clutches, and still not working the way I want. with the heavy snow last weekend I was only making about 7500 (max) RPMS when hillclimbing or even slight uphill in deep powder.....

stock springs in both primary and secondary, (stock from 04, 1300 miles never replaced) and riding at 4-6k feet. need a place to start, even if it means replacing with stock strength springs.

first time I went out it would not backshift, so I took them apart and cleaned them, it did not get anybetter, only difference was that this time I was in HEAVY northwest powder and I couldn't even get it to rev as high as last trip.
2004 Skidoo 800HO 159" highmark extreme.

The stock button RER set up is fair at best..a new helix/spring is highly recomended...or I would upgrade to the RER roller with the right helix/spring for $295-BJ

Have bj's clutch kit on my 04. Nite and day difference from before to after the clutch kit was installed. It flat out rips now!

calling and ordering a kit tomorrow I believe. BJ's kit with the roller secondary sounds like the way to go.

kbl6z ---- how long did it take to tune in correctly on your sled? how many helixs, weight changes, belts, etc.

this last friday was about 3 feet of powder. there was an M8 and a dragon 800 with me, and they had a ton of fun. I had to stay back most places because I peaked at 7500 near the bottom of the hill then my RPM's would fall off, by the top of hills I was cresting at 7200 or below. terrible.

worked ok on the trails though.

It ran perfect from day 1. No tuning after that. Where do you normally ride at? My buddy order and istalled it. Also did new pistons the same time we did the clutch kit.

I'm pretty new to the yakima area, here for school. pretty novice rider, I've rode maybe 3-4 times a year for the last 5 years then I moved over here and bought this sled.

so far this year I've hit tampico once, the 1000 road once (behind rim rock lake and we rode over to tampico) and on friday we rode out of whistlin jacks.

If you ever come towards stampede or salmon la sac area let me know and we will go for a ride.

I went a different route and bought a team secondary from the forums here. set it up with the suggested for my area from the best of what it came with and WOW! big improvement! there will be a few more changes I will end up doing but as of right now I consider my sled rideable again! it came with a floating secondary kit, and that worked out great.

btw rode at taneum today. it was ok.
