Need 3-4" taller Riser on 17 Pro RMK 800 155

So my son was out on his first ride on his new PRO today. He's 6'3" and says he needs a 3-4" taller Riser on the sled.

What does everybody recommend and do the cable and harnesses (?) need to be lengthened. If they do, does anybody offer kits for this?

Thanks in advance!

Unless he has incredibly short arms, a 3-4" riser is way too high. The lower your bars, the better control you maintain of the sled. Close hands to the CG of the sled results in less swing and less body movement. I'm 6'3" with a 1" riser on standard bars. Plenty high for me. High bars are too much work. Just my $.02.

Good info....I'll pass it on to him.

Im 6'4" and wanted to go an inch lower than stock on my '12 Pro.

Get into some hills and stock was pushing too high for my likes.

One of my riding friends is a very accomplished and skilled rider. He's 6'3 and has a 5" riser. It works for him. Yes, throttle and brake extension is needed past 2", powermadd makes some that are inexpensive.

I am 6'6" I used to ride with a 3" riser, no more risers for me. You have way more control over the sled without the bars being in you chest in steep terrain.

Everyone has their own opinion on how high bars should be. I'm 5'10" and ride with low bars, but I also have a buddy that's 5'6" and he put a 2inch rider on his lows. Find what works and ride it.

I gotta change my position on this!

Finally got to ride MY own axys, and i gotta say, i really feel the difference in the pro-axys chassis. And really did in the handle bars...

Again at 6'4" i felt the stock bars on the Pro were good, maybe an inch high. Now, not what i feel on my axys (stock 16).

On any inclines where the front is up, it feels good. Anything level, or downhill, i think i might need to try an inch or two.

I did go from a 155" to a 163", and i have notice my foot placement towards the rear is more critical with the added length, that with the raised boards, im feeling. I think...

My riding was limited this first trip, but a small mix of conditions, and it was noticeable.
