Name off some GOOD old westerns!

Once upon a time in the west - Classic spagetti western

That movie was a complete waste of time.... I chucked that movie and I even bought it!!

Snow Fox, good call on Open Range... One of my favorites for sure. I love the part where Costner fires his gone at the owner sign in the resteraunt. The gun fights in that movie were pretty good too.

Broken Trail was good too... though the ending was kind of sad.. for Duvall anyways..

C'mon nobody has thought of three of the best

My name is nobody
My name is Trinity
Trinity is sill my name

spaghetti westerns but damn funny. The brothers (the right and left hand of the devil!!!!!) cuz they were so fast with guns!!!!

There was a fourth something about a circus. I didnt care for it.

Cat Ballou, Anything with John Wayne.

I know this is not a western, but everybody has got to see Grand Torino. Clint Eastwood is old but he's still a bada$$

That movie rocked! Clint played the perfect miserable old ba$tard haha.

I enjoyed:
-3:10 To Yuma (blu ray was incredible!)
- The Good, The Bad, The Ugly,
-Open Range
-Hidalgo (sorta westernish I guess)
-The Outlaw Josey Wales

I love westerns, good stuff IMO.

Same here, I can't stand John Wayne, not sure what it is but I'll leave the room or flip the channel if one of his movies come on the TV.

Hang 'em High....
Bruce Dern.....
"sherrif, that's mighty kind of you, would you please un-cuff me too?
Because you'll never get me back there alive, boy."
Clint Eastwood....
"Then I'll just get you back there dead, BOY!"

some of you guys have some strange views of what a western is.

No Country for Old Men? Are you goddamned serious?

The Epitome of Westerns is as follows:

  • The Outlaw Jose Wales
  • Any of the Man With No Name trilogy (Eastwoods start on the big screen)
  • Unforgiven
  • Open Range
  • The Searchers
  • Rio Lobo
  • Lonesome Dove
  • The Man From Snowy River

those are the ones that are worth a watch any time.

3:10 was alright, same goes for Apaloosa. Modern westerns just aren't the same...
