Does anyone have experience using Mystik in their RMK 800?
I did some research and it looks like a good oil on paper.
Looking for comments from people who have used this stuff.
Thanks.

Been using it for 15000 miles, sold hundreds of gallons to customers. Inexpensive, high quality oil. Highly reccomended

I started out with the 100% synthetic JT4 but recently switched to the JT4 ultimate high performance JT4 which is a synthetic blend.

Can't beat it for performance and price.

Thanks for the insight. Can you tell me how or where you found that information?

https://www.mystiklubes.com/index.jsp has specs on their oils. Its a JASO FD oil and that means it meets a pretty high standard for lubricity, detergency, and smoke. Bass Pro sells it. Mystic Ultra is listed for $33/gallon on their website but only $19.99 at Bass Pro...wonder if this is a pricing error?

I think any JASO FC or JASO FD oil will work with our sleds. Find one that works for you and is reasonably priced.

BTW, I found perfect use for the gallon of VES oil I have left. I just blended it 50/50 with castor oil and will use in my 2 stroke lawn and power equipment. Should be the perfect combination for my 2 stroke (non-snowmobile) engines.

Other thing: Most important thing is oil ratio. Doesn't matter if you burn VES or Walmart Supertech if you are running lean oil ratios no oil will work well. Turn up that oil adjuster so you are running at least 40:1.

Lastly, even with oil turned up, does no good if your vented cap is not working. Just found my vented cap was sticking. My sled burned 50% less oil than my wife's sled for same exact mileage over 3 days riding. I just ordered some aftermarket tank venting kits for both sleds to be safe.

lots of miles on the stuff, zero oil related engine failures

good reasonable priced oil

I run it in my 2011 Pro for 2000 miles. I run it as injection oil, chain case oil & turbo oil. No problems so far.

Where did u get the tank venting kit? Mine is doing the same...only used about half as much as I should be in my 13 lately and I ride the snot out of it. I'm turning up the oiler to now that my warranty is done in May, & I'm gonna toe punt the remaining VES I got....I'm switching to a Blend myself...not sure which one tho....I keep reading that the $20 varieties are just as good as the top $$$ ones....some good input on the Mystik!

Citgo/Mystik actually blends these oils themselves, while you will find all of the factory oils are blended by someone like Citgo/Mystik and then put in an OEM bottle...

Getting vent kit from northstarrick on hardcoresledder dot com forum.

Although this won't protect low end, I add 1oz/gallon 2 stroke oil premix to fuel tank as precaution. If oil consumption with kit and turning up oil ends up where it should be, I will decrease premix to 4 oz of degummed castor oil in each tank for an experiment I'm doing to see if it will prevent piston wear. Yes, I know the castor will gum up the exhaust valve prematurely...no big deal.
