I am installing my new track and discovered a crack. I see effica and ak both have made side plates to mend this problem is there anyone else that has a way to fix the problem?

Oh crap!! The chip wood trucks better be awatchin' for rocks on the road 'round Emida . . . . . :face-icon-small-win

I decided to do the SS brakets from Effica and get them powder coated. The thing that sold me is when I was in Sandpoint ID couple weeks ago I went to their swap meet there. While there Timbersled had a display and also had a Pro RMK there and after taking a closer look you could faintly see a hair line crack starting....my 2 cents.

IM curious to your riding style?
into big drops? boondocker? or just average all around?

BS, can you just PM the pic to Crusher? Please? I really don't want to see a pic of your crack. :face-icon-small-sho

(sorry, I'll shut up now)

Ha hahahaha Bagger you kill me sometimes. I seen the big green rigs headed out of town this morning with a loader and a spare truck = more aluminum for tunnel stiffners.:face-icon-small-win
I will post pictures of my crack for all to see. I like the looks of efficas but that will cut into my fun tickets and I hate paying for something that poo should be.The previous owner was a hill climber but still it is a assault not a trail sled no big deal I will fix it and move on that is what you do when you buy poo.View attachment 154807

I wonder if the marks in the front of the tunnel is from running a CE 2.5 track what he ran on it

WRP also makes a brace that goes there to

Yes they do, I'm no engineer but the key to making the tunnel stronger is to have an actuall backing plate to sandwich the tunnel between the 2 brackets, that I do know.

ouch, how many miles on the sled

It has roughly 900 miles ridden by my grandmother and only to church.
I am pretty amazed as how well it has held up to a guy that hill climbed and was a daily rider.

What is causing the crack? Lifting the back end when stuck? Pulling some guy home that has a Dragon? Is it in front of the skid mount or behind?

Looks like an odd place for it to start cracking under normal riding conditions.
