My Snowest family gives my family incrediable strength

As most of might already know, my awesome wife of 28 years and best friend and my very special 13 year old daughter were in a terriable auto acciedent which resulted in the death of my wife Carolyn. My daughter Lauren suffered a broken right wrist and is doing well thank god.

The accident happened 12/21/07 at mile marker 150.5 along hwy 191 approx. 3 miles south of Jackson Hole at approx 5:15 pm on very slick & icey roads. A lady driving a 2003 Chevy 2500 Pickup was driving south bound on hwy 191 and lost control of her truck due to driving to fast for the slick icey conditions of the road (she also wasn't in fuggin 4 wheel drive). Her truck went across the middle divide of the road and struck my wifes 2007 Toyota FJ cruiser head on....The wreck lasted 3 seconds is what the hwy patrol had stated and my Carolyn died from severe internal chest injury's caused by the impact when Carolyn hit the steering wheel and airbag

I woud like to say thank you to all Snowesters forall your love, care and concern during such a hard hard time for me, my daughter Lauren and my 3 sons Jason, Daniel & Adam. All of you give us the strength needed to make it through such tragic times. My wife Carolyn and Myself were both born to parents who were tuff & strong as well as live in a community that is tuff and strong and who have been by my family's side from the moment the accident occured.

Yesterday, we had a cermony for Carolyn and 300 locals came over to give there last respects, tell funny story's, eat food and say there good byes to Carolyn. Later in the afternoon we had Carolyn creamated (her wishes) and by 7 pm that same evening we had Carolyn back at home for Xmas.

My 3 boy's went out today and road some incredable deep Wyoming powder.... My daughter Lauren who has an acting part in Scroog returned to the stage. And me im just going to be the Dad i've always been to my kids, which is just how my love Carolyn would want it to be.

To all Snowester you give me and my family incrediable strength,

Love Always,

Steve, Lauren, Jason, Daniel & Adam

Steve...So sorry to hear about the loss of your wife and best friend. It gives us all a little something to think about when saying goodbye to loved ones.

God bless you and your family.

Steve,

God Speed friend! I firmly believe you and your children will see her again! If there is anything I can do, please feel free to ask anytime! I stirred my guts all the way from Alpine to Evanston on Sunday and finally decided to call you, and was shot down because your number is unlisted! I have read the thread I started Friday morning a ton of times and everytime I am reminded how truly good mankind really is. (I think it is exemplified in the sledding community) Continue to love your children and remember all of the happy memories you and Carolyn shared with them! May peace be with you always!:heart::heart:

Your friend,

Jared
