My New Toy

Nice now center the six small pieces for track grip, and lay more ski track down the door or those carbon tips will tear that wood up fast...

Congrats and thanks for buying a Mirage. If you are ever in the Nampa area with your trailer let us know and we will mount a spare tire or put a helmet cabinet in it no charge . Ask for Rob

for this comment alone my next sled trailer and work trailer will be from you i have you saved and will contact you soon for trailers

Right now, I'm using ski slips to prevent carbide damage. I was surprised with the traction the Deck Restore provides, but more track grips will be installed later. I just need to remember to duck when I go into the trailer with the sled or I'll get scalped or knocked out - my luck someone would be filming it and post it on SW.

Not glamorous, but I bought one of these Big Buddy heaters for gear changing in the trailer. Pretty nice to put it where you want it and turn on the fan. My wife and kids love it.

Nice trailer rich. I'm a tall guy and from years of smashing my head into stuff I would recommend you hang some string, surveyors tape or really anything from the ceiling where you will enter the trailer. Drop it about 18". Your eye will always catch it and you will remember to duck. If you are wearing a hood or hat you just won't see the edge. Cracked my head getting out of my trailer the other day wearing a hood. The entry door is a little low getting out, didn't even think of it until I smacked it.

I like the two front doors! I put plumbers pipe foam on my sharp corners so that I don't hit my head when I have my helmet on. I put them on the bottom of my helmet racks and a couple other places.

Took it out on it's maiden voyage today. Love it. If anyone is looking at getting an X-box, just be aware the two front ramp openings are narrow but the sleds will fit. If you don't have your sled angled just right it will rub - this isn't a big deal to me.

Tomorrow, I'm installing the ski glides and spare tire mount that Mirage (Rob) gave me and some other goodies I bought that UPS delivered today.

Nice.

I had some table bumper foam left over when the kids outgrew it. It used double sided tape for a table, but works great on the leading edges of the ramp doors. Not overly thick to the get in the way, but enough to soften the blow.

Here's what it looks like now:

Again thanks to Rob at Mirage for the ramp extension, spar tire mount and 40' of ski glides - although I had 16' that I used in addition to the 40'.

OH you know we would, and youtube and wimp.com and..........

wait you are the one with the camera. It would probably be me on that video laying out cold on the ramp.

Your shorter than me so you don't have to duck that low to clear. :face-icon-small-ton
