My new Impulse Nytro

Thats a WRP seat made for Pauls Kits, Motleys seat is different in the fact that it is much skinnier on the top and a lil easier to throw your leg over, some of the guys werent liking how big these turned out, to each there own, i have sat on both...I agreed teh WRP seemed a lil tank-esque to be jumping from side to side
I was told that WRP had 2 seat heights. Stock, and tall. I got the stock height. It is definitely higher than a stock seat, and to be honest I can't imagine having it higher. IMO it is too high and I got the short one. I would like to see a pic of the Motleyone seat as it sits against the stock tank area. That seat may be the ticket. Other than you loose the HUGE storage area in the WRP seat. It is so big I can fit my sunglasses in it. Barely

A little update ...I took a 3 day riding trip to Island Park. Today I am on the first official day. I walk out of the cabin to fire her up and once again she is hydrolocked. Cranked for a while until it filled up with fuel and locked up. New impulse ecu and injectors are already in. What's next? Talk about frustrating. A wasted trip. Any thoughts?

That doesnt sound like alot of fun. You work and build these sleds to ride. And a trip down the tubes....hope you have a spare sled along??

For some reason fuel is going into the cylinders even with the engine off. Should be careful with hydro locking, can bend things as liquid does not compress. Since your in UT, I would take a drive over to Impulse with the sled. Let the builders of the kit take care of it, seems like your setup hasnt worked out so well compared to the hunderds of great reviews about his stuff. I have his header on my RX1, awesome craftsmanship! Good luck to you with your sled.

Luckily I had my other Nytro in the trailer. Once I got over my sled being out of commission and threw a couple tantrums, I had a good time on the stocker watching everyone else do battle on the hill.

Paul has been working with us even personally on the sled to get it to this point. I think he is a bit perplexed as to what is causing this. He said he has never experienced this problem. Hopefully he can take a look at it this week. It's got to be something simple. It almost always is.

i wonder if your fuel tank had something in it & is getting into the injectors causing them to stick or leak.

They tore into it today. The left an middle cylinder are full of fuel. The right is clean. As soon as you turn on the key the injectors spray fuel. They are going to put in a new wiring harness. Still no answers as to the culprit.:frusty:

I think its a non Impulse related issue! New ecu , new injectors and its still doing it. you got a short some where that causing all this to happen.

New harness is in and it all seems to check out except for the starter that took a dump thanks to the motor being locked up with fuel. Another several days I get to wait for the part.

Wishing I didn't sell my Apex.

Wow that would piss me off waiting to ride that sucker after all the work. it better be worth it when you get on it. Ya it will be insane looks good just some stupid shtt going on, Good Luck get her straightened out.

They tell me they have confirmed that the Impulse wiring harness was defective. At this point that is GOOD news. The bad news is apparently the whole motor needs to be pulled to replace the starter. This means it is a ton of labor. Oh and one other thing...this weekend is the boat show. That means the Yamaha dealer is short staffed with the show. Can it get any worse.:rain:

get better

Let me make you feel better, you and I were suppose to meet up and ride this year but with your sled down.... and mine totalled.... it doesnt get any worse. I hope that all works out... they sure run like a bat out of hell when then run right. I loved my impulse tnytro!!! never go back to anything else!!

I wouldnt speak to loudly till you have that thing back, and RUNNING.
I hear ya on that, but the truth is...is I think this is just one of those fluke things. The dealer has always done me a good job and has been very meticulous with the install. Paul has never seen this problem and has been more than willing to replace all his parts to fix the problem. Its a bone job all the way around. Luckily I have always had another sled to ride. I hope to get the sled back today and get it out tomorrow. We shall see...

That REALLY sucks. How did that happen? I hope you had insurance.
