I think it turned out pretty nice. It's been a long time coming. I hope we can get it to run well soon. There seem to be a few kinks to work out, but hopefully nothing too major.

After running great at just 5lbs for around 30 miles it decided to not start. It would crank but was pouring out steam out the bottom that smelled like fuel. Couldn't find any loose hoses. We cranked it again and it made an ugly noise and the clutch was locked up. Didn't look good so we towed it out 25 miles.

The next day dealer said it cranked fine (what???) and the injectors are dumping fuel as soon as you turn the key on.

So for now at least we got it out for a few pictures, and that's worth what we all know this thing costs. NOT!!!

sounds like you filled the cylinders with fuel & it hydro locked on you will seem like the motor is seized. just to much pressure in cylinders till fuel seeps out sounds like a stuck injector.

Awesome looking sled! Got anymore info on that tunnel I have never heard of it before but like the looks of it.

I hope it didn't drop a valve:frown:

Definitly a stuck injector or your efi system is reading boost preassure right away instructing your fuel system to add fuel incorrectly. Either way the engine filled up with fuel causing it to hydraullic. Make sure your dealer changes the oil before you ride again as if it sat full of fuel it would have bled in to the lubrucation system. I have seen a few injectors stick right from new and its usually debris from manufacturing on the install jamming it open.

Good call on the oil change. They did it today and said it was very diluted with fuel. I guess they think it is the efi. Paul is sending out a new one. Hopefully that is all it is. You learn something new everyday. Thanks guys!

The seat is a WRP seat made specifically for Paul and his Impulse kits. Can be ordered through Paul or WRP.

Is that one of Monty's seats? I like the look of it. All of it.

Thats a WRP seat made for Pauls Kits, Motleys seat is different in the fact that it is much skinnier on the top and a lil easier to throw your leg over, some of the guys werent liking how big these turned out, to each there own, i have sat on both...I agreed teh WRP seemed a lil tank-esque to be jumping from side to side

Beauty sled ! Black on black on black. Paul's turbo systems are awesome. Hope you get your fuel problem figured out.

One question, in what looks like super concrete conditions, it doesnt look like you are running any scratchers, and have removed most of the wheels from your skid. Don't you have any cooling issues ? I think my sled would heat up in the first 3 miles.
Also, who makes the tunnel ? looks aweful close to a CR tunnel, but not quite.

Edit : power addiction tunnel, just re-read it.

cheers man, that's a hot sled. :beer;

The Kmod skid comes with scratchers and they are on there. Just a bit hard to see with all the black.

Paul sent out a new control box and 3 new injectors. Problem solved!!!

I am running the standalone. Please help me understand something...My setup is wired to pull data from my wide band and add or pull fuel accordingly. When it was turned all the way down to 5 lbs. it was lean at wot. 13.2 -13.9. If I backed off the throttle a bit it would
do down in the 12's. Shouldn't it add fuel on its own? When I turned the boost up to 10 lb. it ran great. Wot at 12.2 - 12.5. I was glad to see it get in line when I turned up the boost, but doesn't this seem odd?

I also have a stumble off idle if I don't feather it. I guess I need to tweak the fuel pressure little by little until it goes away.

My guess is that 5 lbs of boost is not enough to start activating the standalone map. The auto tune can only change the map 30% from the orignally programmed map. One question, why would you only want to run 5 lbs? If your clutching is setup for 10 to 15lbs 5 lbs is not going to get you anywhere near you desired rpm. That could also have something to do with it, the standalone reads rpm, tps, amongst other things like water temp, intake temp etc, so ir your rpms are too low it may not be adding max fuel. It think you would have to dial in your clutching if you want it to work right each time you change boost on the fly. I just set mine up for around 15 and just ride it.

I think you're right. It probably does have something to do with RPM. Trust me I didn't get an Impulse kit to just run 5lbs. The sled is brand new so I figured I would put some miles in it before I cranked it up to 15-17. I figured that being new I was better off riding it pretty hard at 5 rather than higher.

As stated the map has percentage limitations. The tighter Paul can set those limits the better the map is. The map you got was likely designed for "normal" boost levels and should be run at those levels. I am not saying run at the high level day 1 but run it at the lower side and you will be fine. You will find that it is really reliable and you will wonder why you thought about running 5lbs
