my lite weight polaris hits a moose turd and folds up like aluminum foil

is it just since snowest became a pay site or because you feel sorry for polaris, or some other reason that you are not all over this new sled like stink on a monkey. polaris years of reaserch [so they say] has been buying revs and xp's and disasembling them to make there version. so is it a rev/xp aris. with all that said. a test ride on one would be nice, but ride or not im going to sell one of my xp's buy a pro and be a test pilot for polaris. from what i can see from the chassis design i think it might be a better doo then doo.

one of you guys thats good with the computor how about putting the pro 800, the rev, and the xp chassis on one page all side shots not the sled just the bare chassis

ok polaris faithfull let me have an earfull

Lol trying to start jazz just because polaris came up with a new chassis. Personally I dont think it looks like a ski doo but I want one bad thats for sure to bad im a poor college student maybe skidoo will give me a good deal. LOL I love these petty little arguments polaris rocks! I do hope they didn't make a weak chassis by losing all that weight then they really would be like skidoo lol.

I almost feel sorry for ya bud. I mean if everyone was going to hop brands to something other than what i ride i would be a little pi$$y too

Polaris built a pretty good sled this year. Problem is, even though I ripped Ski-Doo for their 2011 lineup, I think that new ETec 800 Summit X is going to be one sweet machine, pricey, but its going to RIP!!! And we all know Cat is very much alive in the game with a 7 year old chassis, and that's sayin something. Polaris can have one year where the spot light is on them. 2012 will be the year of the Cat, just sayin.....

Hmmm lets see what is that phrase?

Once bitten (900 RMK)

Twice Shy (800 Dragon)

not sure many will sign up for this one till it proves itself...

but they are buying the talent for their sleds that is for sure...

I love my 900 never even blown a belt on it and I would put a dragon next to anything on the snow and say your not gonna beat it (minus turbos of course)

well, the manufacturer cancelled the sled...

The Dragons...all have recall work on engines, and even with fixes, are still blowing engines...

It is not my opinion, it is Polaris opinion...they did the recall...they did the model discontinuance...

not opinion, not brand bashing, just facts...sorry they arent pleasant...

Here's a little inside scoop.

The only attention paid to the XP while designing the new Pro chassis was to make sure it did not put the rider weight on the ski's like the XP does.

I can tell you how many XP's Polaris bought, stole, or borrowed to design the new Pro........... Zero.

of course they moved on and improved! skidoo stopped making the rev! No one every says anything about skidoo recalls. Im not saying polaris is bullet proof or that its the best sled I'm just saying the rest of them have problems to and I hope your not saying the dragon can't hang with the rest of the 800 class because then your just being brand loyal cause i've seen the 10 dragons vs the 10 revs and they will go all the same places the dragon just handles better and has a tougher bulkhead and chassis.

i would ride any of the new sleds they are all sweet machines I prefer polaris though and you prefer something else doesn't mean the other is crap.

it's all good!

You're not gonna hear any brand loyalty BS from this guy.
I've owned em all and liked and disliked something different about each one.
So your opinion is just that "YOUR OPINION"

If you asked me, brand loyalty just equates to a false sense of security!!!!!

Choices, are what makes life interesting.

dude you bleed Polaris...

the manufacturer STOPPED production...cancelled any replacement...the 900 sucked soo bad they had to completely cancel it...merely fact...

comparing that to the Rev moving to XP is ludicrous at best...oh well..

as to the Dragon, which I have...it is an ok, sled, but personally, I dont like it at all...primarily the thin running boards make it hard to do a lot of jumping side to side...the power is nice...but the track is terrible...and it has too much weight for what it is...

you can be as brand loyal as you want...I only care about best sled out, and what I can do the most with...

Have a dragon currently...
Have a T-Nytro currently
Former sled was a Rev...

LOVE the M sleds for carving/boondocking...IMHO best stock mountain sleds ever made (dont own one though, but gladly recommend them)

pretty hard to argue that I have any brand loyalty...it is the BRANDS job to earn my loyalty!!!

Had a summit X, then to a 800 poo 144", then the 900 rmk on nos, Nytro, Rev on nos, and next yr '10 dragon turbo. Not much brand loyalty here. Liked all except the Nytro. Couldn't afford boost after all the coin in trying to lighten it. No problems with any of them. Actually, the 9 on nos was a fun sled.

Pick your poision and take your chances!
They are all good and they are all bad. Sometimes your lucky ( and a better tuner) and sometimes your not.
BTW My 06 900 166 has had no problems and still makes most new 800s look lame in the steep and deep.

Brant got his pro stuck in hardpack....

Rode one

I had the opportunity to ride the new pro rmk two weeks ago in the greys river area above alpine wyo. I have to say I was impressed, it is a very solid feeling and well powered machine. I think they may have finally got it
right, the lightweight feel and responsiveness is impressive.
