My lightweight Pro RMK hit a rock....

fwiw, i hit a rock going about 8mph coming out of lake. made the sled turn 90 degrees instantly. put a huge gouge in the ski. only piece hurt was the a-arm. i think it works pretty well considering i hit a number rocks before that with no problems. haven't jumped much though (sounds like a-arms issues and jumping are actually shock stiffness issues).

edit: in the pic, both a-arms are lower right a-arms.

No, that is the crumple effect you get from bottoming the shock hard. The shock then becomes the pivot point for the force being exerted upward at the ski, and it folds the a arm at its weakest point, mid span between the pivot point and then mount point.

Stiffen it up.

yet another person that prefers bent a-arms vs bulkheads. went through bent bulkheads on my rev and nytro...

i hit a lot of crap on my first low-snow ride in utah this year... and to just have a tweaked lower a-arm (or 2?) seems fair. instead of bending a-arms, bulkhead, steering rods, etc

thanks polaris for at least building the front suspension right...now, work on your engines please.
