My two year old got some new shoes that she just loves!

They are black Crocs

She feels compelled to tell everyone that she meets just how much she loves them....there is just one problem! She is having a hard time pronouncing "r's"

So as we walk thru the grocery store today she was letting the whole world know

"I LOVE BLACK COCS"

The more I asked her to stop the louder she yelled it!!!!

"I LOVE BLACK COCS"

"I LOVE BLACK COCS!"

Oh the joys of parenthood!

Great stuff, when my daughter was young she had a cat we called "foxy" Same thing, she couldn't pronounce foxy and it came out as "f-cky"

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love those stories.

I have one like that too....
When my now 10 year old girl was 2... we bought one of those stupid kittie castles for the damn cat.

The daughter loved to tell people about it. Here's the hitch. Her "k" sounds came out as a "T".

She told my mother in law that we bought my wife "t ittie t assles".
And mother-in-low is a big ole stick in the mud. You shoulda seen the look on her face. HAHAHAHA. It was priceless. LMFAO.

My buddy, Larzz, taught the same one (as a 2 year old) to yell "got down, sat on a bench". She got the hang of it pretty quickly, but it came out very clearly as "gawd dam SOB"
My wife was horrified...and we were laughing so hard...she began SCREAMING it. Which made us laugh even more, which made it even worse. LMFAO.

How hard did you have to work at not laughing?

My wife and I are pretty laid back about the way words come out and often have to hold back laughs, especially in public.

One day we were skyping with the kids great-grandparents and my middle child who was about 2.5 at the time says as I walked in front of the camera, "that's my daddy. His name is Robert. He's a big loser."

Needless to say that got a bad response from my wife and the poor girl got yelled at in front of the grandparents, which led to tears.

We had no idea where she go that from as she doesn't go to daycare and we don't call anyone loser around the house or kids. So we just kinda let it slide and were confused.

Well just last week we were sitting in the minivan while the wife was trying on jeans (yep better to be in a van with 3 kids then shopping) and the middle child asked for a book. I gave her The Pokey Little Puppy and she was looking at it when all of a sudden "A BIG LOSER". I quick looked and she was trying to say "A Big Lizard".

So I guess I'm not a loser after all, just a lizard.:face-icon-small-con

My 9 year old kept asking for M&Ms but she was always mixing up the letters. I thought she would figure it out and quit.
After I politely told her what an "Enema" NMAs was she became very specific about her pronunciation of her choice of candy now.

Yep, kids are great! My oldest just asked the very attractive daughter of a family friend to sit on his face. After choking up my coffee and picking up her jaw, I preoceeded to explain, (to her mother), that he has developed an interest in wrestling/MMA and likes to prove his ability and skill at "escaping" from when someone is sitting on him and punching him and then taking them down.:face-icon-small-coo
