Well thursday morning she left me for a very special camp. It took a lot for me to let her go. As some of you know she was diag with ALL leukemia 6-6-06 and her last treatment was 8-18-08 so almost 1 year off treatment and she is doing wonderful. She got back into town yesterday and when I got there to pick her up she flew into my arms with such happiness that made me have tears in my eyes. When everything settled down she had some off the wall stories. Here is a link for newspaper article about the camp and a pic of my daughter and me that the newspaper photographer took after she jumped into my arms.

Glad to hear. That is quite a challenge to go through what you and your family have. Sounds like she is doing well. I have a good friend who has been going through the exact same thing. It is tough on everybody, but especially his little young family. May god continue to bless you, your family and especially your little girl.

Gary you were one of the guys I met with Wade and Scott at some place in Boise a couple summers ago in Boise? Summer of 2007, right?

I remember the story about your daughter. THAT is a great picture and a very cool story. Awesome.

Ya that was me Scott it was at the Cresent Bar. I think you were down here to pick up a Mustang right? How's everything going up there Scott?
Ill tell you what that was one of the happiest times I had just hearing her voice and screaming daddy daddy i missed you. just thinking about it now makes the tears come back. one very grateful and happy father not just for my daughter but for my two sons as well. An illness like that kinda puts life into perspective. I just want to says thanks for the people on here that has supported my family and myself through this thing and how donated for my century bike race around lake tahoe.

Yep. We were picking up my cousin's GT500. It's now a Super Snake (800hp).

He ended up moving back to Boise and that mustang is back down there now. LOL

Awwww! How very cool!

"She absolutely loved it," Shasta Luper said. "She got to pet horses, she went on a hike, her award was for being the best cheer captain. She taught them two cheers around the campfire."

McKynna's 2 1/2 years of treatment included chemotherapy, a ruptured appendix and a staph infection."
[Yikes!!]

Here's her cheer
"upward upward grant our wish all we want to hear is swish, swish, swish."
ya she has went through all a lot when she was young and now is making up for lost time of being a little girl. her birthday was july 22. i bought her a big girl bike, took the training wheels off and teased her about them being her birthday present and she was happy with them. i put the bike outside and told her to go and check on her older brother, that's when she saw the bike. the little giggles when she was riding it was just the greatest. i love my little beautiful princess.

Thank you for sharing, you've warmed my heart. What a beautiful little girl you have.
