Went riding Saturday and decided to take my 10 Year old son. Great day for taking him for a ride with the guys. Rode all of or favorite spots and gave him some seat time on my new sled. He had a blast! Colorado Matt gave him a few pointers on how to pull the sled on its side and carve......Needless to sat he took to this like a fat kid to chocolate cake! Pretty sure as he gets older and more experienced he will be out riding his old man in no time:face-icon-small-hap

Oh great....now we got another young Ripper to make us old fogies look ...well old

LOL

Can't wait to see him on the mtn!

Sledding just got w bit more expensive for ya D

Very true Dizz!! Told him he better get to shoveling a lot of sidewalks so he can buy his own!!....Oh and get this....Found the broken key and spare to my sled under the secondary! Now how the heck did they manage to get there???? LOL

Love to take out my oldest daughter(8) this year...maybe we could set up a kiddo ride this spring.

gotta a couple 340 indy lites for them

How big is he? Just wondering if maybe I should go ahead and put PJ on a toned down 700. Watching him on his 120 is, well, he's just too big for it.

Cool pics! I would love it if my daughter was into sledding but she's not into it @ all. Think I scarred her off by going too fast when she was younger.:face-icon-small-sho My friend's boys go with us sometimes & its cool to see them go for it.

Heck yeah Dizz that would be great. Just let me know and we will try to plan for a weekend when the weather is gonna be a little warmer and take them out. Would be a good time for sure:face-icon-small-win

Thats what got my kids started. I put em on my sled and went hauling A$$ around the park and they were hooked ever since!

Yeah I have a 120 also and 2 of my kids have outgrown it now. I picked up a little indy 440 that they ride once and a while and I let them peel around on the bigger sleds too. They really do just fine on the bigger sleds in the open parks and keep it under control pretty well. Think the power scares them enough that it helps keep them in check. He weighs about 70 pounds and is a 4 1/2 feet tall.

That is the same size as PJ. He's 6. Guess I'll take him to the Gore Meadows south of RE. Great place to learn with no drag racers and cowboys. If you ever wanna go there just to sit and watch the kids lemme know. I usually take a grille and chairs with my sled at the ready and just sit on the snow bank and watch.

Rumor has it that arcticman threw his kid on his sled with him and was able to do some trick riding up through the trees on 'spill hill' that other riders on an m1000, m8, and rev800 were unable to reach the top:)

That kid has seen more of our territory than 90% of people that ride the area! It's going to be fun to watch him progress as he gets a little older and on his own sled.

Thats freakn awesome arcticman31!!!!! I bought my kids a 120 this year and it has been a blast to watch them rip around the yard. My daughter is 6, and took right off no probs. My son is 3 and has 2 speeds, stopped and clamped. Need to learn that boy some throttle control, but I can't wait till I take them west and show them what it's all about.

I am in pretty much the same boat as you guys. I have a 9 yr old that loves to ride. He can't wait for this weekend so he can go ride again.

I sold his 120 this year because he is just too big for it thinking I would find him a 600 to ride. Still haven't purchased a sled yet though. I let him take the controls of my sled about a month ago and he has no throttle control yet. It is either all or none. Right now he is almost ready for his own sled and a nice flat meadow to pound at for a day.

It is neat that they enjoy the same stuff as us.

That's sweet to see that!!! the younger they start the easier it will be for them to progress!!

Now his dad just needs to learn to take some clear pics for him!!!!:p
