here is a blatant posting of my blog site showing pictures of the engine tear down I did. Purchased sled used and had it for one day before the crank bearing blew. Tore it down to that point and decided a short block would be the quickest way back on the trails.
there is also some pics of the damage the recoil did when it blew the next season. metal pieces in the stator area caused loss of power to the electrical system. the engine would die then pick up speed etc. cleaning all the bites of metal out and putting it back together fixed the problem, even with the minor stator damage.
