MTNTK Turboed '16 Axys: Engine hard to start

Ive had 2 axys MTNTK turbo sleds here in Norway at 1500ft-3000ft.

First one was with the old mapping, no real issue, takes 4-5pulls when cold to start, i dont mind, 1-2 oulls when hot and throttle wide open.

The second kit and the one i have now came with the new mapping, very hard to start cold, took atleast 10-15 pulls before it would start, and 4-5 when hot.

Got them to send me the old mapping and now it works great again. I believe this has something to do with elevation, and it beeing to rich at lower rpms. I have also experienced some bogging when going from 0 throttle to WOT. I think this has to do with it beeing to rich.

mine with new tune starts hard cold, just crack throttle starts fairly easy warm.

when you say you have bog from zero throttle was that with the new tune or old???

I have that as well, with new tune, the bog is usually when I need it to be clean and crisp and cant bump the throttle like coming out of creek bed in deep snow
have been changing primary springs to try and get past it started with MTNK primary that is supplied went to 165/327 was better but still there

now have a 180/320 but have not rode yet just changed it a last night

That is with the old tune. Never rode the new tune enough to test if the bog was there also. I have experienced it while free riding, but it is more noticable when doing a drag start. It was worse when i tried a 120-310 spring with engagement at 3600-3800, so i installed the 165-310 spring like you, helped alittle but still notice it sometimes.

Give me feedback on the 180-320 spring, i would bet the engagement would be high, atleast at 4400-4500, but if it takes away the bog i would love to try it.

Found a 185-330 spring today that I will try tomorrow, I will give you feedback when I have tested it.

180-320 worked pretty well engagement is high but it did help get past the bog but didn't totally eliminate it but reduced it a lot

Same here with the 185-330 spring. Big difference, but still noticable once in a while.

Have you been in contact with MTNTK about this bog?

Yes I spoke with Chris a couple of weeks ago
Will call tomorrow to talk about very hard cold starting as well
Also we warmed up here over the weekend end and I went on trail ride with my daughter and it actually fouled one plug running at slower speed on trail

No idle issues at all so I wouldn't think TPS an issue
Idles well at 350 feet above sea level at my shop and at 6500 to 7000

Mine idles low, and im at 1500-3200ft. So low it shuts off the display and almost dies. TPS is set withing correct Polaris values, and idle problem was not there when it was stock.

Anymore development on the hard starting issue? When I get above 5000 feet mine will not start regardless of throttle position, especially if I was on the throttle and tether was pulled,

Yeah ive also heard that the new map works wonders. Havent got it get myself tho, but a friend has it.
