Mtn viper starting problems

I asked this question about a month ago. Just thought i'd put it up one more time. My 2004 sx mtn viper, a 700, has a problem. This is the last thing I'm going to do before I call it "good enough". The sled will start easy in the morning. By the time i've ridden a little while, it won't start unless I hold the throttle open a little. If I do this it will start on the first pull. It just seems like I shouldnt have to do this. Any suggestions? Should I just live with it?

Turn your carb heaters off - leave them off IMO; you could turn your idle up a little more or work on the Pilot ciruit. You should NOT have to give it gas to start it ~ most guys seem to live with it, but you can tune that PITA step out. My Mom at 60+ years old can pull over my Viper the 1st pull everytime.

Thanks for the responses. I have the carb heaters turned off already. I was told to just leave them off. I have the carbs set up for the proper elevation (10000 ft) should I still try to change the pilot circuit jets? What should I change them to? Thanks again
