Mt Tamer rear kit?

Thinking about doing a rear kit from Mt Tamer on my pro with a turbo.
What are the pros and cons? FYI I'm past my my budget any way. :(
I also dont want to spend money later because I half assed it.

Thanks for the help.

Call and talk with the experts about their respective skids and the options/upgrades for them in regards to YOUR sled and YOUR riding style:

Allen at Timbersled

Kevin at KMOD

I have talked to Kevin , Allen was gone but talked to one of his guys, Chris at Carl's about there setup and Zbros.
I have always ran Carl's setup and been happy. But this is my first turbo, so trying to figure outwhat it need.
I original was thinking Carl's setup. I like to get the front up over logs creeks and so on. But worried about hill climbing.

The coupling adjustments on the Mtn Tamer skid are probably your best bet for your type of riding. Back the coupler all the way out so you can wheelie at will through the creek bottoms, over trees, whatever you want. Then if you have a hill to climb, take 5 seconds, adjust the coupling to stick the skis to the hill and away you go with full control on the steepest slopes. Your situation is exactly why I have the mtn tamer skid. I want full ability to control my skid for different terrain, and the Timbersled skid offers that to me in a matter of seconds. :bounce:

Are you speaking of the full complete rear suspension from Timbersled, or just the rear arm conversion?

If you do the full suspension, you will definitely not regret it. I ran the complete suspension on my '12 turbo pro rmk with exit shocks and was very happy with the performance and durability. The ease of adjustment with the coupling adjustment knob is ideal. Within a matter of seconds, you can make HUGE changes to the way your sled handles. The strength and quality of the Timbersled components is 2nd to none.

This season I'm trying something a little different. I am going to try their rear arm conversion. This might be a valuable economic route for you to go. I don't have any experience with it yet, so I cannot comment on the overall performance. I will still use the stock rails, front arm, and front shock with a different spring from z-broz. I will be using an exit shock with the Timbersled rear arm, meaning I will have the convenience and function of the coupling adjustment. My concern will be with the strength and durability of the stock front arm, but time will tell. I will post updated pics and ride reports once I have the setup installed and on the snow. It's great that Timbersled offers different options in an effort to accommodate the sledding community and their budgets.

Call Jake at Raptor shocks. Ask him what his shocks will do for a turbo. He helped someone who shaved time off a run with the introduction of Raptors. Match them with K MOD and you will have it. The new K MOD will adjust with the twist of your wrist.
