Mt. St. Helens or Adams.

just got back from helens
blue sky
dry pavement
and about 15" of fresh snow around 4k
snow was soft and un touched
only two other trucks in parking lot and once we left the trail didnt see any tracks for miles
the road is bare in a few spots from the sno park, ive ridden worse but if we dont get snow soon it will be a mile of pavement before you hit snow...

Lahar had very little snow left, you have to pick your way through the jack firs along the west side of lahar. There was enough snow there though.

I'm not sure how much snow is around the sno park, but checking snotel this morning, they are showing 10" new at potato hill 5000'. It is just east of green mountain and the 5603/2329 jct., maybe 6 miles from the sno park.

Rode out of ore creek on sunday and we parked a mile past the park were the snow started. Snow was good a little wet and heavy but still pretty good, it was snowing hard when we left and had droped an inch or two already. At potato there were still alot more trees then normal but ridable, top sail rocked... were it had not been hacked up on saterday.

If you park in the parking lot your looking close to a mile of gravel and it's most likely alot more by now.

You keep threatening that you're gonna come down here but........
Well, when I hear something better then very little snow on the lahar, then I might.. :p I am trying to convince some peeps to come down as well, though I might make it a solo trip.

It is on the books, but this year is an interesting one for snow.

ruffy, before you go solo check with me.. its possible i could join along.. i'd love to check out that area.. plus i got a 2 place ;)
