Mt St Helens - Marble mount - report?

I drove to the snowpark in my car on sunday there was no fresh snow there and nobody riding. Just some snowshoers. Ive never road there yet, can someone tell me what area has better riding marble mountain are lone butte?

helens is awesome with bluebird and fresh pow,
lone butte is better with overcast and fresh snow.
helens is a white out if the light is flat or its snowing...
lone butte has trees, berry fields, what not that make it possible to ride no matter the weather.....

do you just continue on lewis river rd 503 are do you have to drive up from the carson side? I remember seeing a sign saying road closed ahead.

thanks.

yes no new snow in the parking lot, but you could see fresh snow up above.

either way yo can get to lone butte, the road closed sign is for fs rd 25 which goes up over to randle, looks like snotel is saying both areas got some good new snow in the last few days.
have fun!

I called cougar store and the nice folks there gave me a good report. I always try to stop and buy something there! Sounds like alot of new snow up higher (2.5ft.) and the plow has gone up 2 days now.

i've never ridden st. helens, but want to shortly. so bear with me please.

the marble mountain sno park map shows "june lake" near the marked ski trail area (dotted blue lines). is this the same as the "june lake" snotel site?

then what about the swift creek snotel site? where is that in relation to the cougar/marble mountain sno parks? is it closer to the redrock pass (just west of cougar sno park?).

the snotel data seems to indicate 197" at the swift creek snotel site, and 79" at the june lake site. didnt know if the swift creek site snotel is accurate or not...but seems like a lot considering its only a 1000' elevation difference between the two.

Awesome! Saturday was sunchine with new snow! Best day of the year for us! Sunday we had sunshine in the plains as well. Total daylight Friday and saturday night with the full moon. Good times!

Plenty of coverage out of marble. Parking lot is clear, although it was dumping when I left sunday night @ 6pm...

Got any pics?

We've been looking for somewhere different to go than Orr Creek, just for a little change of pace.
