There is a decent hotel in Sedro-Woolley which will keep you in town where you can go to dinner or whatever. There is a new Marriot I believe in Burlington next to Bob's Burgers. From there up to the snow parks is about 45min. You can also stay up in Concrete which is closer but not much to do after sledding.

However, if I were trying to get my wife into sledding there are much better places to take her. Baker has rough trails and no open spaces that arn't partly vertical.

Good luck.

I agree....

Baker is an awesome riding area but may not be the best place to introduce the wife to the sport. I'd highly recommend Blewett or Elk Hieghts for that. Once she gets the hang of it, Baker will amaze her.

I believe that new hotel is a Howard Johnson and is located just north of Burlington at the Cook Road exit.

I'd recommend joining the local club and taking advantage of all the stuff they have to offer. Their website is www.northwestglaciecruisers.com
