Mt. Adams / Mt. St. Helens Riding Conditions

Anybody been up? The St. Helens web site is saying the road to Marble Mtn. Snopark is closed until further notice. Has anyone been up to confirm that? Maybe going up Tues or so.

st helen's 1-13-08 sunday am

left marble sow park around 8-ish road out to lahar was not bad . lower part of lahar was like a brick w/2to3 inches of frozen crust . the higher we rode the better it was , got to the plains and played the rest of the day out . climb any where you wanted ,good traction up there . starting to look like a freeway to the plain's though .
the june lake cross over bridge is getting piled with snow and kind of hard to cross, be careful , some poor yamaha guy fell in.

We rode out of Lone Butte today. Down at snow park level everything was set up like concrete, once you get up by the berry fields it's not to bad and the road up there was groomed not to long ago. Driving up past the turnoff to Marble we talked to a forest service guy who said both Marble and Cougar were clear full at about 11:00 this morning.

whats the snow been like up on adams lately? i can only imagine its been epic. today would have been the day to be up there. has it set up much or is it just a powdery mess? :D

went to helens on saturday the 19th, sno was super hard on the plains side of the mountain, but was alot softer if you go over to the west side.

also found our way up sheep canyon from where the road is washed out (going around the SouthWest side rd. 8100 to 8123) some cool stuff up sheep canyon, lots of technical riding ->google earth is awesome!!!!

i was up on adams tuesday, couldnt ask for better weather... snow was crappy... super hard everywhere. about bucked me off when youd hit the wind blown areas.

Hopefully will get some snow to ride on in stead of crust, made it hard to have fun.
Are the berry fields the same? Will try to get up there this weekend, have to wait and see what the weather brings!!!!
