They get away with it because they have the lawyers to do it.
The only repurcussions Miss California has is to sue for defimation and slander.
She has a good case, but it would take HUGE amounts of money and years to prove.
MSNBC has a staff of lawyers that have nothing better to do.
Now this is where the other networks "should" step up and defend Miss California. They need to vilifie MSNBC. There is a reason people are turning off MSNBC.
If it was my problem, I would file a formal with the FCC.
Try to get them shut down. This would force the FCC to investigate. It would still take a long time but it would force MSNBC to be a LOT more careful.

Ollie the court system is a joke, Last year it cost my wife & I $46,000 to win a case. The only winner is the court & the attorney's involved.
I had my wife watch MSNBC's Keith Olbermann last night along with myself, She just could not understand how this crap was on the air, So this is my idea. The drop in viewers does not seem to bother them so I will try & get normal people to go after the companys that advertise with MSNBC

At the last stock meeting the CO and his crownies got a serious earfull by teh share holders. They were DEMANDING the managers reign in MSNBC or drop it all together since the share holders were tired of the super liberal bias.
Don't know if they will get it done or not, the share holders kept having the mikes turned off. The Managers didn't want to listen to em.

Actually, a writer named Helen Hopkins did an article that was displayed on msnbc's web site. She basically told perez to shut up.
You got it! Make note of who supports MSNBC by advertising with them & make some calls or e-mails telling them their support will cost customers. It will not take much to get NBC to clean up their act!

This ******* probably makes more than the rest of us just by stirring up drama and then writing about it. He/She was fishing for an answer that helped support his/her agenda. If her answer would've supported it, liberals would've praised her and supported her efforts as another spokesman for their agenda. They didn't get the answer they were expecting so therefore brands her as having her own personal vendetta as Miss California.
Worst part is these are the same people that cry for their right to 'Freedom of Speech' when it applies to them and their personal agendas. Now it's WRONG for her or any other representative to have an opinion when asked for it. I've never seen a bigger form of hypocrisy than what's being exhibited in this relatively unimportant and non-newsworthy display of drama.

They have an absolutely HORRIBLE night-time line up.
I cannot understand how a manager could keep his job with a line up like that.
The only MSNBC I watch any more is "Morning Joe", and I get fed up with that on a regular basis!
