MPI Coming On Strong...

Thread Rating
5.00 star(s)
Thanks Craig

We have a great staff and great things to come for this season.

New Nytro front and rear susepension
New Fuel control (stand Alone) Yes in testing now no more adjusting altitude.
Other lightweight components
Through the summer stay tuned we will be offering special drawings for free and discounted parts.

Thanks to those who support us and the positive responses.

No adjusting for altitude! Sweet, if you can make it idiot proof this idiot will buy one!

Taking actions now and providing some insight of the MPI vision will get hundreds of summer heads looking forward to sled season. Personally I always look for sled season, and I'm more stocked about the upcoming season than ever. I am dying to see Lincoln County Customs's finishing of my sled. The new MPI fuel controller ......bam..... If it all comes together and mother nature provides the powder.... it will be a great year even with the liberals killing our great country.

sounds like you guys are all pumped about something new from mpi, next season when you acually put some seat time on it, will you be as pumped? will it work as they say, or will u guys be here complaining about it? my guess is the latter, they have had sc's out for years and there is still issues. As for yamaha selling it I highly doubt it they like quality and they don't stand for anything else, with mpi's rep I think thats a pipe dream for mpi. turbos are WAY MORE RELIABLE. with the new turbo companies putting out all the new systems i think mpi superchargers will soon be a thing of the past. just my 2 cents

I honestly believe this move has momentum going through the summer and its for MPI to keep the course. What will you say if they hold true and keep us up to date and get the bugs out of the fuel controller? Easy to sit back and say a company can't come back to a fan base.

I've owned 20+ vehicles in my life. Owned 2 Ford trucks that broke down during hunting season leaving me stranded and missing some hunts. I vowed to never own a Ford again. 20 years later I have one serious Bad A$$ Ford.

Look at how many peeps riding Yami said they'd never go 4 stroke or come to the dark side. The dark side has taken hold and dominates. The biggest problem MPI had is components they don't make, but have supplied to them. Its no excuse....just fact. Also, its not the quality of MPI's products that left some including me with a bad taste. No secret the biggest issues the past couple years were "Customer Service" and "Fuel Controller Issues"... Some may have other issues, but these were the main complaints that we've read about on this 4M.

If you haven't talked to Heath, then you have no idea what Mac has done to fix the Customer Service issue. The controller is another story, but as stated in this thread MPI is working to have a product fix by this season. Why not give them the benifit of the doubt and let them prove it.

I doubt everyone is reading this post and running out and buying SC's or Turbo's for that matter. Most are working on their tan while MPI knows/hears our concerns and is working to get us hooked up for sled season. If you don't own a SC or are not thinking of a SC for a boost option you don't have any buy-in in this thread.

Not saying you're not entitled to your opinion. Just let us hundreds of SC owners have our access to the info that MPI is working to get out. There have been a tona threads about what's better SC or Turbo. You don't like SC's or MPI....sweet read on.

To my SC Bros....we have buy-in since we're still running an MPI SC. Obviously with over 1k reads this post has attention.

Hook it up MPI...

Actually if you go back this is quite typical of the last 4 years or so. Each spring we 've heard a lot of promotion and hype about the awesome and progressive changes that MPI is making and how they're finally stepping up and SOLVING the known issues that exist. Unfortunately for the last 4 years or so, the issues are only fixed for most people during the summer months. Each year as soon as we got back on the snow, same crap, different excuse. Spring and summer seem to be a great time to set the hook with marketing rah rah rah and promises. Make it work first for the majority who already have one, then beak.

PS. if I hear about the new altitude programmer, control box thats ALMOST ready one more time , I think I'm gonna puke.

The box you have been hearing about is the Dobeck box and it was them telling us and everyone else its almost ready.

We have decided on something else since.

thanks

Heath, when will the new website with product updates be up and running?

So I started this thread betting MPI was changing the game. I've been seeing this post sitting and going unanswered. Kinda threw me for a loop since My first post and Mac was so convincing. I couldn't take that I was wrong by about the MPI turn around, and somthing this simple didn't receive an answer so I Just called Mac.

Glad I did. Heath has been down ill. Mac told me MPI will have some flyers posted here with some of the stuff Heath mentioned in early posts within 10 days.

As far as the web site: The snowmobile section of their current web site is locked down at the request of the new web designer. MPI's new web designer is on schedule and the new web site is expected within the next few months. Its a total re-design, but when it hits the web it will be up to date.

Most importantly he assured me the new fuel controller in the works is progressing nicely.

Hope you get/feel better Heath.

Please don't think I was interfering by calling Mac. I was a bit concerned after this last post went unanswered and my reputation as I started this thread. I knew it was somthing simple.

Craig

Craig,

Thanks much for the extra effort and follow up on this post! I had figured that MPI was just busy and hadn't had a chance to see my post yet, but it is stil;l good to know things are moving forward. That being said I'm pretty stoked to see new items being offered by MPI and a refreshed website would be great as most of the items non supercharger related are older and are for the RX sleds.

As soon as things settle down on my end I'm planning on picking up some things for my new sleds from MPI, such as their exhausts etc.

I see on here that they have a bad rap with some for SC issues, but unfortunatly for me I wont have to worry about buying a SC any time soon. The last time I bought from MPI was when I stretched out my 03 RX1's to 136"... actually I was one of the first to do this with them. However at the time I must have spoken with Mac atleast 2 hours total discussing the kits etc. and he was always very helpful.

Anyways again thanks for your reply.

Craig thank you for the call.

been out of the office for a few but back now.

Maine, Website is a couple months out but we got a preview of it the other day and wow it looks awesome and will be very user friendly.

Stay tuned.

thanks guys

Heath,

You were out, Mac said he was going to release some info about your new products. He hoped to have something put together and posted this week I think. Any news/word?

Lincoln County Customes "Troy" finished my SCApex this week. She's now a 100% complete full mod. I'm excited to see her all finished up. I'm heading to the East Coast on vacation and looking to return and pick her up around the second week of August. I need to call and check if this works for Mac. He asked me to stop down once I picked her up. He has a couple ideas he wants me to try out to get my SC 100%.

Hope to meet you in person when I come through town.

Craig

Craig,

Spent the weekend working with our marketing dept and they are close to having a completed press release for new products.

When your in the area please call or swing by would love to see the sled and meet you.

Thanks

I'll be in town 11 Aug 09. I'm calling Mac in a bit to see if that fits his schedule. I got pics form Lincoln County Customs yesterday.....WOW!!!!!!

She's friggin awesome. Come on snow...

I am sure that Mac and Heath, along with their staff, can and have turned things around.

Heath remember back in the day when ProChargers were considered turds? Here we are several years later and what is their track record like now?

A little bit of tuning goes along way.

I wish the best of luck in your efforts.
