So I just pulled my butt in from getting tan, cracked a bud light and was trying to figure out what to do next with my day. Ring....Ring.... phone ID says Mountain Performance. Better yet Mac himself. I must say. I'm blown away. BSed for 20 minutes or more.

MPI is starting a tech news letter. You heard me right. This is the best news I've had in months. Its nice to hear from all you boys on here about tuning and trouble shooting tips, but info coming strait from MPI will be the chit.

I'm not sure what prompted this new phase in MPI business/customer service, but I friggin love it. Mac....Heath... I have no idea, but this is the right track. Its May and they're targetting sled season.

After talking to Mac I'm ready to get rippin. Come on snow...

Last note: Maybe you've heard, but its news to me. Yamaha is offering MPI pump gas Stage 1 SC's. Break out that Yamaha card boy's. Boost is easier than ever to get.

Mac & Heath,
I'm excited about the tech news letter. Thanks for reaching out to us SC bros. I expect a little flack thrown in this post, but this is great for all of us boost brothers.

I guess time will tell. I wanted to go with the SC just for the ease of installation but with all the bad press I went with MCX instead. No regrets, just felt for those that bought them and had issues. Hope that is all behind now.

anyone else heard yamaha offering pg sc??? kinda doubt it... what is pg sc 5-6lbs??? 190hp?(no shim so more hp per lb of boost)

Its going to be offered through the Yamaha catalog. Meaning your Yami card will work to purchase it. Its not coming from the factory, but it is a pump gas Stage 1. I don't know the tech knowledge behind it. MPI is best source, but it is the same kit, so 10 pounds is what it will produce.

Call Heath....boys. I have no reason to lie, and I doubt I got it wrong.

Like I said in my original post, this will catch some flack. This is a huge step to help us SC bros, and I'll bet every other boost maker will have to follow MPI's lead to catch/keep up. Its early, but I could tell from talking with Mac.....they are excited about this new direction.

I have high hopes and am excited. New Snow is 5 months or more away. I'm puting my money on MPI coming through for all of us.

One thing. I didn't initiate this post to start a pi$$ing contest. There are hundreds of us SC boy's who will be looking for this diect source info.

Personally I don't care where you drop your coin, but for those of us with a SC this is great news. Mac started a change in MPI's direction with the addition of Heath. I was a doubter, but Heath proved to be exactly like/what he said he was. No doubt after several of us got a bad taste in our mouth over the past couple years they have some work to do to get back the fan base. They have taken some positive steps.

I don't own stock in MPI.....I am just one guy who built 2 SC sleds and am happy to hear MPI is making a major effort to keep me informed, and to keep me as a loyal customer.

i also am doing my second sled one stage 1 and the other stage 2, as for mpi i can not say enough good stuff about them. i was on the phone with mac on a friday night until almost mid night in calgary so i am not sure what time it was for him. and i bought the kit used, so he made nothing off my dollar. they have helped so much with anything i have needed. no yes the programmer is an issue
but you learn to run it and it works ok. there is some choices for programmers now so i am sure it will all be worked out. as for a charger that can be ordered at yamaha i would like to see that, they have been talking about cat turbos from factory so maybe this business will be all turbo 600 pushing 200hp that weighs 375lbs.

Seems like all his customers have to do all the R&D themselves.I have not heard of anyone that was satisfied with the product that they bought.Years later they are still trying to make them work proper.Turbo guys don't seem to have anywhere near as many problems as these.

Thanks Craig

We have a great staff and great things to come for this season.

New Nytro front and rear susepension
New Fuel control (stand Alone) Yes in testing now no more adjusting altitude.
Other lightweight components
Through the summer stay tuned we will be offering special drawings for free and discounted parts.

Thanks to those who support us and the positive responses.

when will the new fuel controller be available? That is the only thing holding me back right now. I don't want to buy a kit then have to buy a new controller 2 months later. Any summer specials?

I have a SC apex and the only thing that i dont like is that fuel controller, it does teh job ok but it doesn't run like a factory sled course what factory sled comes with 240hp. I will be VERY interested in something like the dynojet auto tune, set the AF and forget it, and be able to control the timing.

No exact date it will be the next few months before first of season.

It will be optional with the kit the standard fuel controller will still be supplied unless upgraded.

thanks

Especially with everyones comments like these not giving us a chance......

Heath, I'm sure there are alot of snowmobile riders that wish MPI well, me included. But you can't come out and say all is better and not expect people to question your sincerity. It's no big surprise people have had more than their fair share of issues with MPI products. Little advice, admit MPI's mistakes, lick your wounds and move on. Being defensive everytime someone questions MPI's committment to superchargers and customer service is a turn off. You can take it or leave it but that's how the majority feel. Actions speak louder than words. We've heard the words. Let see some action.

I totally agree. I am not being defensive all the time. Someone says something nice and everyone comes back with negative comments everytime. So its kinda hard to grow when people have to put there 2 cents in with negative comments EVERYTIME.

I appreciate all the feedback. Positive feedback helps us stive to be the best.

Remember you will always hear the bad but u will rarely hear the good..

Thanks to everyone.

SW is your typical online forum. It comes with a lot of complainers and negative personalities :)

Good luck with turning MPI around. If you can keep Robstopr and Colorado Yamaha happy that will prove to me you have made huge changes. :D I would say these guys SC loudmouths for Colorado..haha JK

Chris you got jokes....lol We definately are loud mouth SC bros. "Troy" Lincoln County Customs should have my newest Bad a$$ additions done soon. Man I can't wait to see her complete. What's up with it being summer? Summer Sucks.... Guess its time to get some tan action in.

Heath is for real. Mac is taking some steps to help us get geared up to make some changes for this high CO altitude. Should be a great next season.

I see you still have your Nytro. Spending any time at Trey's this summer doing another build? I need to get up there to check in and see what's brewing.

Especially with everyones comments like these not giving us a chance......

Considering the the rather large investment I made in several MPI products and the problems it caused...... Helicopter trips to get a sled out, ruined vacations, broken parts... crashing the sled when MPI parts fail... Sending the wrong parts and not telling us until after it was installed.... I think I've earned the right to speak my mind in this public forum.

If I had a dollar for every post on Snowest about the changes MPI is making to improve their crappy issues... Followed by the numerous shows I've been to where we discuss the same crap.... I'd have at least 20 bucks...

Be defensive all you want... MPI will never see another penny of my money or the money of many of us out here....

Repeat business is the best business...

I can't wait until next year when we hear how most of you are gone and another guy like yourself will join and tell us about the (old) new changes being made and how great your new products are.... blah blah blah...

Care to irritate me further?? I'll make it my summer mission to make sure you lose more business if you care to push this further...

MPI doesn't deserve another chance.
