i plan on moving to colorado come the end of my sons school year. i was looking at breckenridge area.anyone got any info on that area as far as jobs in the auto repair field. housing for me and the family and the riding off trail and mountians

Hey I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but there are a few dealerships in Silverthorne. Ford, Dodge, and GM. In Breck there's a few shops. Let me know what your field is and maybe I can help. If nothing else we can go ride sometime. Good luck on housing. Not cheap. Silverthorne and Dillon would be your cheapest rout in the county. Followed by Blue River.

There are some dealerships there, you might also look at Vail Resorts, the will more than likely have openings for Mechanics for their fleet maintenance (trucks and snowcats).

Riding... Vail Pass is about a 15 minute drive for you.

There are 3 car dealers in Silverthorne and they are busy. I have friends that work at all 3 of them. Your problem would be choosing to live in Breck! YOWTCH! The cost of housing is atrocious! Most peeps I know that work in Summit County either live in Fairplay, Leadville or Kremmling. The money that you save on real estate is well worth the extra drive time.

Good luck!

Kremmling is beautiful. Leadville has long cold winters, cost of housing is dropping but guess why? Breck... also cold, but the cost of housing is because of the resort, you might pay more for your house but you will also get more back. I am not a fan of Fairplay either. Honestly I would check the area out, check out Kremmling, I like it a lot there. Fuel prices could easily null out any house savings in place of the cost of fuel.

thanks for the info guys. i kind of figured breck would be expensive to live. i plan on flying out sometime after the holidays to check things out.
