Car insurance in BC will run 1000-3000/year depending how new the vehicle and your driving record. Registration is $10, and sled insurance is about $650 for all perils on a brand new machine.
Moving to Kelowna from Quebec worth it?

I finally bought a plane ticket to go to Kelona in march, I will be there for six days and hope I will have enough time to get a real feel of the city and area. Feel free to give me any advice or thing I should absolutely see before leaving.
After this short trip We will make our decision if it's worth it or not to move there.
One thing that scares me trough is that a keep reading on older forums (2008-2011) from people of kelowna to not move there, that the city is bad and to move anywhere except there...that there is nothing to do there etc.. Can someone tell me what is all about tis s*** talk
Because right now I do have a really good feel about this city... This might change after my little trip there trough...

Kelowna has had some issues with gang activity, mostly sorted out now but still a bit of unrest. It is also insanely busy in the summer, major tourist hotspot and turns into Alberta west. I lived there briefly in 2011 and I remember once it took me an hour to get from my office downtown on Guy street over to the westshore turnoff for Bear Creek to go riding.
I was in Kelowna this weekend and I like it there, would move in a heartbeat if the right job presented itself.
